This is a curious tale of a housemaid whose own face is the reason of her troubles. Her mother, Babi, had to leave the village that they used to live in as she could not give birth to a son and was humiliated and troubled by her in laws. After landing in the 'Sagar Kutir' basti in Mumbai with two daughters, Babi begins the painful job of rebuilding her life. Her daughter Nakusha is the one light in her life whose cheerful presence leads to easer pain however, Nakusha is cursed with a face that will never get her anywhere in life and force her to lead a life behind the veil of ugliness.
