Vasu is sitting on the bench and Bhagyam is telling him how acting and modeling are not suitable for families like theirs (but getting your daughter married to a drunkard for money, and hiding your DIL's money and throwing her out of the house is the right thing to do!) and tells him that he has to tell Revathy all this. Revathy walks in and Bhagyam stops her tirade. Revathy says that modeling is a profession like any other and Bhagyam tells Vasu to check her behavior because she is talking back to her MIL. Revathy says that she has rights too and she will decide what she wants to do and finally, Vasu gets tired of this and tells them both to stop. He says that he is tired and nobody has cared enough to ask him how he is doing. He tells them that he has lost his job. Archana is listening keenly from her room, as usual, so she can report to Selvam as soon as he comes home and sits down for dinner! Both B and R are shocked and Vasu tells them how he found the money missing from the bag, and his MD got angry with him.
The manager adds fuel to the MD's ire by saying that Vasu pretended to be an honest worker and earned his MD's confidence. Vasu tries to explain how he could easily have made off with the money he had collected that morning and no one would have known about it, but the manager says that was part of his plan, using that as bait to garner the MD's confidence and then he took the larger amount. The MD tells Vasu he has 48 hours to return the money. Vasu says that he has to return the money or go to jail. Revathy thinks the Manager may be responsible but Vasu says that he saw the manager put the money in the bag - think harder, Vasu, think about what happened after that. Bhagyam is almost tempted to part with some of the money she has hidden in the backyard, to prevent his going to jail Just as she is about to say something, Revathy says that she will arrange for the money and leaves. Vasu is wondering how she can arrange for such a large sum of money, but Bhagyam assures him that she will go to her dad and he will willingly cough up the cash.
Jayanthy and Priya are waiting in a car outside the jail. Two guys come out, then Deena comes out - in a new looking blue shirt, so I guess there is a store inside the jail! He says that he is touched that they have come to greet him, as he thought that there would be nobody there to receive him (as if he is being welcomed back from abroad!) but he is so happy to see them. Jayanthy says that Priya is the one he should thank since she took up Jayanthy's case the previous day with her parents and argued for her. Priya then launches into a talk about how society should treat reformed prisoners and says that she is doing her part and then insists on dropping him off at his house. He says that he will go by himself, but she insists, so he gets into the car.
Punitha is waiting outside the police station, and Selvam comes with a lawyer and Archana. He tells the officer that he has come to pay bail for Siva and then goes to talk with Siva. He asks Siva why he had to get himself arrested like this, and Siva explains that he couldn't pay the interest on the loan from the finance company. The guys had come to his house in his absence and misbehaved with Punitha. When he came home and Punitha told him about it, he lost his cool and went and attacked the rowdies and so they had him arrested. Selvam feels bad that this happened because Siva borrowed cash to help him (MM) out and asks him why he didn't come to see him. Siva says that he thought he could handle it himself but the auto was giving him some trouble for the past two days, hence the collections were also low, and that was why this happened. They leave the police station after Siva signs the register.
