Shah Rukh jealous of Aamir?
The Shah Rukh – Aamir catfight seizes to end, the two have been taking digs at each other whenever possible.
Everyone is quite well-versed with the SRK- Aamir feud. Aamir who had first started the war of words by naming his dog SRK had even apologised later on when the entire fiasco blew out of proportion in the media. The two maintained their distance there on but teamed up during the Producer-Multiplex strike where they rubbished rumours of any bad blood between each other. Still all doesn't seem to be well between the two Khans who can't wait for an opportunity to take digs at each other.
Shah Rukh who has been busy making the rounds at several events in a bid to promote his forthcoming film My Name is Khan was asked about his thoughts on Aamir's promotional strategy of traveling around the country promoting his upcoming film 3 Idiots. SRK replied in a condescending manner, "Well, if I were to do the same thing, I would have to travel the world for my film and my producers wouldn't have been able to foot the bill." This was in regards to his film being shot and made in the background of the 9/11 terrorist attacks in the U.S. Aamir has been promoting his upcoming youth oriented film 3 Idiots through an alternative reality game where he travels the country incognito giving out clues to his fans to track him down. Shah Rukh on the other hand was severely criticised when the incident of him being detained at Newark International airport on racial grounds was tagged as promotion of his film My Name is Khan which is also based on the same subject. This being the reason behind Shah Rukh lying low in promotion of his film as of now.
Industry sources reveal, "Both Shah Rukh and Aamir are marketing geniuses. While SRK's plan in promoting his film backfired due to the media explosion of the Newark incident, he is bound to lay low as of now. Aamir however is on promotional spree for his film and is literally everywhere. It's difficult not to notice him with every media channel following his every move. While all SRK does is go around attending events, they finally got a chance to promote their film after the trailer of the film was released with much fanfare. It will take a while to know who overpowers who in the marketing war along with the BoxOffice results."
