I found this old interview back when DCH released, and in the interview, saif tells the entire story of how and why eh got married when he was 20 years old.
He said ON the day of his marriage with Amrita, he almost chickened out coz he got scared. đ
He said when he started going out with Amrita, they both had decided it was gonna be a short fling coz she had pressures to get married at a young age. So they were prepared to have a short fling, about 2 weeks long and then end it.đ˛
BUt at the end of it, Amrita said, you know, it doesnt have to end. And saif didnt know what she meant, until he got that she wanted to get married.

He also said that when he ran away, he just wnated ot run away from everything. the disappointments he'd given his father, and all the emotional baggage.
