"But it is not for the first time that I have taken a real life story for my show. Prior to this my show Kkusum was based on my own accountant Sheetal. She used to travel by buses and she was as innocent as Kkusum… and that show was also a hit," adds Ekta.
"This story is very special to me. I had written it five years back in 2005. It is very close to my heart and I had decided that whenever I would have my own channel that time I will make the show. However since Samir (Nair, CEO of NDTV Imagine) has given me my first hit show I could not say no to them," informs Ekta.
Speaking about the story line, Kapoor says, "This story is not going to be around any social issues. In fact this girl Santo will also not revolt against her situation in her life. She will get married to this elderly person for her Nanaji's sake and she thinks that whatever she does it is for her betterment."
