Since we don't have "one' God like monotheistic religions, we don't have one single devil or satan or adversary to god either.
Our scriptures are full of the tussle between the devs (gods) and the asuras. Not all gods are goodness impersonified and not all asuras are evil. Karma rules in hinduism and one can be "good" or "bad" based on their karma. There is no need to alligning yourself with gods to be on the side of good or devil to be on the side of devil.

i think its better that way 😆 as it offers food for thought . One is compelled to look for the bad in good & the good in bad, & thats how real life is. We all have both pos & neg qualities in us but get labelled as per the qualities that we tend to display more commonly .

true angie. i think too much of anything is not good. infact too much goodness is also not good. therefore in Hinduism we will find that whenever evil surpassed its limit, god came to earth to destroy it.

Kali took that Avatar to destroy an asur- evil, so how can they be misinterpreted as devils themselves.
shivji is one god who is worshipped by all dev, manav and danav too.

There are different schools of thought in Hinduism philosophy and that is one of its plus point. Some schools of thought say that God is one and whatever multiple Gods all people talk about are just different forms of "one God".

I think that Bad(or Devil) exists just because Good exists or just like every beginning has an end. If the world was created from zero then the positive forces must have got separated from the negative forces or good must have got separated from the bad. But, just like in reality things are never 0 or 1, similarly its not like -1 or +1, but it is irrational.

If Good and Bad will cease to exist separately then it would mean the end and everything would end up resulting in nothing.

Ah we have Ravan too as the villain.
Frankly when we look at a world ruled by karma then both heaven and hell exist on earth itself. If we are suffering then it is hell.

Shiva happens to be the third part of the trinity that keeps the loops going - creator - Brahma, sustainer - Vishnu, destryor - Shiva. Nothing is eternal. If it gets created - it will be destroyed when time comes. This simple rule of universe makes Shiva's role as important as Brahma's or Vishnu's.

Your rationale is absolutely misplaced here. I don't think the Church of Satan desciples could be compared to Shiva.

Yes Siva mean auspicious.
Believe ji posted a video once on the so called followers of Siva eating raw human flesh.
These could be misguided followers.
