If my parents were in Rajbir's dad's place, they too would not have agreed to the marriage like that. Rajbir's dad said that he is surprised that Pri's family is rushing and not trying to find out more about the family Pri wants to go to. Before I got married, my parents used to go to the guy's place, make sure he is educated and has certificates of proof of claimed education, and inquired about the family. Pri's family has done nothing of that sort - Pri likes a guy so they like the guy. What about the family? What is Raj's education and background? Nothing! While Pri's sister is probably open-minded and only cares about who Pri loves, at least she should know more about Raj and his family especially since the father has not been fine with the marriage. The more pressure the show would have put on my parents, the more they would have resisted so as not to make a decision under pressure.
I completely understand where his dad is coming from. But why are he and his mom on the show if the dad is against it? That is what I don't understand. If Raj doesn't want to take a step against his dad, he should not have come back. I have a feeling the producers may have something to do with it. They may have said that maybe his dad will get to see more of Pri and like her, so maybe that is why he came back.
This is not how marriage is done. I am surprised that Rumpa and Hitesh got married on the show for real! Unless it is fake on the show to fool viewers. Why would Rumpa want to get married like this, without knowing anything about Hitesh? It doesn't look like she would have listened to her mom, so her parents are just going with the flow.
