Hve u guys noticed ....in Pavitra Rishta the 3 characters Savita Sulochana n Bhavna r shown as really selfish n oppurtunist...

Savita- doesnt care abt th feelings of her son her only desire in life seems to be acquiring money n jewellery...fr this she can go to any length..she almost made Sachin like her but the arrival of Sravani into Sachin's life has changed him and thankfully so.

Sulochana- keeps giving lecture abt sanskriti n traditions but doesn't bother abt wat her kids want...she cant see the pain in her fav daughters eyes whom she cliams to love the most....never lets her husband speak or fr that matter any one else she always has the final say in everyting...n in the process hurting everyone around her.

Bhavna-She also belong s to the same tribe....just b'coz suddenly she has realised how nice n obediant Archu is she wants her as daughter-in-law without giving a damn what her son wants,whether he really love Arcu or someone else is last thing on her mind...

You forgot to mention about Rasika ...Manju's mother she is also selfish equally or more than Savita.

I so agree with you... this serial does give out a wrong message that mothers emotionally blackmail their children and dont let them take their own decisions.. in contrast all the Dads (Archana's baba, Damodar, Kaka, Girishji) are shown mature and intelligent who always think about their children's true happiness and well being.

I agree , completely . Women ( mainly mums ) do all the talking . dad's just stare helplessly and watch .

all mothers are control freaks in this show .

LOL yeah agree!!!! Mother are suppose to be nice n helpful bu in case of PR they ruin der children's life...

Mothers want the best for their children and they therefore becomes blind and do more harm than good.

Agree with Kachipata, this serial demonstrates that mothers want the best for their children, but forget that the best doesn't guarantee happiness, for eg. Archana found her happiness in an uneducated, poor, mechanic having a not so perfect family.
