Aravind, who was also general secretary and member of the policy making body, had faced allegations of collecting huge funds from party candidates during the general election. Many had openly accused him of demanding money. Further, Aravind had also been blamed for fielding weak candidates in many places. Faced with all these allegations, Mr Aravind has not been participating in party activities for the last five months, particularly after the poll debacle.
Ram Charan Tej's made his debut in Chiruta (2007); his performance garnered many awards like the Filmfare Best Male Debut Award and Cine MAA Award for Best Male Debut.[citation needed] He got much appreciations from actors such as Superstar Rajnikanth, who said Charan's acting in Chiruta was like that of someone with over 70 films experience.
His second film, Magadheera (2009), was a blockbuster hit and became the first ever Telugu film to collect over INR 100 crores.
As of December 2009, he is working on Bommarillu Bhaskar's Orange. The movie which is due to hit the screens in 2010, will see Teja with Genelia D'Souza.
Towards the end of November 2009, Ram Charan was featured on the cover page of People's magazine (for their December South India edition).
She began her acting career in the 2004 Hindi film Kyun...! Ho Gaya Na, in which she enacted a minor supporting role as the friend of Diya, the film's lead female, played by Aishwarya Rai. Only 3 years later, she got her next acting offer, which was veteran Tamil director Bhrathiraja's Bommalattam. The film, however, got delayed and released only in late 2008. In the meantime, she made her debut in the Telugu film industry and played her first leading role in Teja's Lakshmi Kalyanam alongside Kalyan Ram, which did not do well at the box office. Later that year, she appeared in the Krishna Vamsi-directed film Chandamama, which became her first major successul film.
In 2008, she had her first Tamil-language film release, which was Perarasu's action entertainer Pazhani. The film, in which she shared screen space with Bharath was a commercial success. Following this film, she had two more Tamil releases that year with Venkat Prabhu's comedy-thriller Saroja, in which she did a guest appearance, and finally Bharathiraja's investigative thriller Bommalattam. Especially the former film went on to become a commercial as well as a critical success, but both films failed to boost her career as her roles were too insignificant. Both her Telugu releases that year, Pourudu and Aatadista opposite Sumanth and Nitin, respectively, neither received positive reviews nor were successul at the box office.
2009 she had four releases, three of which in Telugu. Her only Tamil film that year, which was Saran's Modhi Vilayadu, released first; it garnered mixed reviews and poor box office returns. Next she starred in the Magadheera, in which she essayed double roles for the first time. The film recevied universal critical acclaim as did the lead actors, including Kajal Agarwal, for their performances. Agarwal, particularly, was praised for her portrayal of a princess, Yuvarani Mithravindha, in the film. The film was also commercially highly successful and broke several records, emerging as the highest-grossing Telugu film and as one of the biggest box office hits in India. Following Magadheera's phenomenal success, Agarwal became one of the most sought-after actresses in the Telugu film industry, catapulting her into the main foray of lead Telugu actresses.
Currently, she is involved in at last half-a-dozen projects, including five Telugu films as such as the multi-starrer Om Shanti, Brindavanam opposite NTR Jr. and Orange, directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar. Her only upcoming Tamil film is Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu fame Susindran's Naan Mahaan Alla alongside Karthi.
