on a serious note..after reading ur post i do realise tht i am wrong on this part..tht ya abhi was shown as a character who was full of confidence who helped simi out from tht rajeev bhalla fiasco...and now he is suddenly getting all tensed up ...tht is contrasting to his character...point agreed..i think i was being toooo optimistic and trying to rationalise his behaviour bt to think of it deeply he is behaving totally opposite to his character..tht is of a confident cool guy.. 😊
maybe we cld say creatives r trying to show a different side of his personality...tht uptill now he was all confident and all bt jab pyaar mein pad gaya hai he has become a sensitive lover...and maybe its creatives way of showing how a 22 yr old wld react if he is in such a mess...dnt knw...
bt i do agree my mistake..i did miss out this point tht abhi was always shown as a happy go lucky..confident guy..nt the one to get panicked....though it wld have been much better if we wld have got to see abhi handling this situation confidently and all bt kehte haina jo hota hai acche ki liye hota hai..so we got to see a different side of abhi..a different side of Neil Bhatt's acting....so i guess its ok..and btw now abhi is starting to control the reins...u saw the last episode...acche bakra banaya Nakul ko...hehe..and now he looked confident too...bt i am only wondering wht nakul wld do whn he wld come to knw tht abhi showed him the wrong girl's pic......abhi ko milne waala hai lambaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa bhaashan...hehe 😃
Tas, I do hope you understand where many of us coming from. But don't apologise for holding on to a different viewpoint that you believed was true. Whether it is in television, literature, movies etc, as a viewer it is our right to offer different viewpoints - we all hold different opinions. The important thing is that we should always find support for our arguements or viewpoint, and I think many of us did just that.
Many of us here didn't just come out and say we didn't like the new Abhi or the path the story was taking, we also put forth a number of arguements using the actual show itself and real life examples as to our reasons. We were not here bashing the show for the sake of it - we love KB and Abhi and Simi and we felt betrayed and let down.
To me Abhi and Simi were such fabulous characters I could not believe could have been created by an Indian drama - so contrary to the typical Indian shows and films. I expected to much more as the storyline was heading in such a good direction and then overnight two very rich and complex characters were destroyed. Of course myself and others didn't passively accept it and we spoke out.
If Tas the show meets with your liking then you have a right to express it and not apologise for it even if you are in the minority. However, if the show doesn't, then speak out, don't look for execuses for a storyline and passively accept the situation. Speaking out (even by watching a show or not watching it) is a way of expressing an opinion. In doing so, the creatives will work harder and we will see a continual improvement in not just this show, but others in the future. 😃
