When I was watching yesterday's (1-12-09) episode, On seeing Mohit's family all of a sudden, i realize that i am not watching YRKKH b'coz the characters shown in his family are out of proportion & over-dramatic.

Mohit's mother seems to me a very weird character , a character which we must have seen many times in some or the other show, a saas material which we all hate .

Mohit is potrayed as a matured, understanding & a comic character but his family members are on the whole contrary to him.

Mohit's family appears as an external element, which has been forcefully incorporated in the show by the creatives without even thinking for a second .

All the other characters of YRKKH can be identified easily, they have their own existence & individuality, Dadi looks like dadi. Rajshri looks like Akshara mom , Daddaji looks like head of Singhania family. Shaurya looks like Akshara's brother. Character of Varsha looks like Akshara's best friend.

Hina has adopted the character of Akshara very well & so has Karan adopted the character of Naitik so well.

But the characters of Mohit's family appears to me as a circus full of clowns. Sorry if it hurts someone but i don't like them.

Yes, u r absolutely right.....even I was struck for a min in the show as to who are these ppl , but thinking both ways , may be they are still new to the show and so, we are not yet used to them and hence find them weird. but yes, Mohit's family will be like this- Im sure none of us expected them this way.

yes, the entry of Mohit's family was very abrupt...............and they didn't seem 2 suit the nature of the show very well..............In fact Mohit's mom has her own trade mark line also-some pichle janam ka paap and all...............why does RS's every show has characters having some or the other trade mark line?Like Sadhna's bhabhi in Bidaai(sorry, dunno her name-am not a regular viewer.....).................Pls don't transform this extremely fine saga of discovery of love into one of those stereotypical saas+bahu=rona+dhona soaps................

yes, the sudden appearance of the family made me think that I was wtaching some different show. may be YRKKH ended & some new show bega. & then mohit made his entry & I got back to my senses.

Mohit should have been shown from a much better family. I never expected this from the creatives although they may be having some plans about the story line up.

but nandini should stop dreaming about mohit now!

Agreed with your point that may be Mohit's family is new to the show & we are not used to them till date but still, then also the characters chosen for his family are not convincing at all.

When i started watching YRKKH for the first time i was very much impressed by Akshara & her family . Then after some time Naitik arrived in the show with his family . In between Rituraj also come for a short span but then also each & every character appeals to me so much.

Mohit's family does not gel with other YR characters and families at all. His mother is like a typical negative character from any other afternoon show.
