Karuniya is better than Hema in voice quality, performance and looks. Play back singer is one thing and performing on the stage is another thing. Speaking about versatality, we will find out more on II2 in few weeks about Karuniya. I have a strong feeling that his Guru, his master will make a better choice of songs for him since they have learned a lesson last week with the wrong choice of songs. Hi all...I think its difficult to compare both of them.They have been singing together since long time.I think Hema hit lime light earlier.They might have intentionally chosen not to participate in same contest.

I have seen Karunya sing on Doordarshan-Telugu when he was a child, also on a popular singing contest in a private Telugu channel hosted by SPBalasubrahmanyam.We heard him in two stages of his life.Also in a recent stage show where (Karunya,Hema,Bindu etc) all sang Ilayaraja hits.Hema was never visible and he hit all of a sudden.

I think both of them are on same level.It is difficult to choose.One thing is that I never expected Karunya to dance, be so open etc as he was always quite kind with lot of seriousness on stage.May be he is changing to demands of being 'Idol'.I anyway wish both of them a very bright future.Both of them belong to families having strong Carnatic base.Lets see how they fare in the 'popular' version of music now.

hemachandra is just mindblowing! his ramta jogi was sooooooooooooooo damn good and he sang it without any preparation! it was just awesome. karunya is just as good but not better
