All of us have certain perferences for singers and mentors in SRGMP, leaving that aside
SRGMP is a contest to choose the voice of India, a contest where all their abilities should be showcased
There have been some contestants who have found their groove in a certain genre of songs and they or their mentors have chosen to limit themselves to those songs, so in fact they have shown the entire music industry they are good at X type of songs
There have been some contestants/mentors who have been adventurious and have gone out and selected varieties in their singing, sometimes they failed, sometimes they succeded, but now the entire music industry knows they can be successful in X and Y types of songs and not in Z type of songs, and there have also been some contestants who have shown they can do justice to X, Y and Z type of songs but only with a limited range
Given the fact that only one of them is going to get to launch a album and the rest are going to use this contest as their showcase
What do you think
should the contestants be choosing different genre's of songs and give an option to the industry to put them in different slots?
or they should only concentrate on their own genre and if they do not win hope that they have showcased themselves enough to get songs of Shreya, Sunidhi,Alka, Sonu, Sukhwinder, Kumar sanu etc?
my preference I really loved the round where opposing mentors gave songs and everyone got tested
