Your views on Gujarat and Maharashtra singing?

I finished watching Friday's episode and I got to say one of the most boring episodes!

Pls understand I have nothing against Rohit Shyam, he was one of fav. singers in Lil champs 2007, but he really sounds average due to voice transition. Both him and Kaushik singing the first duet song, the English lyrics were sung in heavy accent - and Rohit's solo performance too did not deserve an 8.

Lata di songs are hard to attempt, but I did enjoy the song in Vaishali's voice. Yes ofcourse the song did not sound soothing as it does in Lata di's voice.

Prachi was really good, actually exceeded my expectations. Parthiv was no where close to what he is capable of singing. I really don't understand why he picked this song, maybe he wanted to prove he is a versatile singer - I don't know, but I really disliked his perormance.

Deepali was off sur in some parts, it's very generous of Kavita ji to give her such good remarks.

Deepali and Parthiv duet round was pleasing to my ears.

Personally I think

Rohit/Kaushik duet round deserved - 6

Deepali/Parthiv duet round deserved - 7

Rohit solo deserved - 5.5

Deepali solo deserved - 6

Khaushik solo deserved - 6.5

Prachi Solo deserved - 8.5

Parthiv solo deserves - 6 (hoping he doesn't get more than that)

Vaishali solo deserves - 7.5

Overal very disappointing boring episode - the judges were boring too. The only high light of the show were the hosts 😆

We surely needed judges like Salim Suleman and Pyarelal ji to judge this episode.😳

Nice topic. Somehow the Bengal-Punjab episode and Maharashtra-Gujarat disappointed me a lot. They have changed the format. The old songs round on Friday is no more there. Also, I am missing the wonderful orchestra in the initial rounds. The episode between MP and Gujarat was really the best. Waiting for next week to check if the singing improves.
As for singing in this episode, shall post my views later 😊

I immensely enjoyed Kuhu Kuhu. In my view, this is best performance in this Mega Challenge series.
It was simply terrific. Also this shows that good choice of songs is important for the singing level to remain good.

I really enjoyed their jugalbandi and wished that it could have gone on and on. The rest of the evening was so so. Vaishali's solo was good, Parthiv's rendition seemed odd though he is an awesome singer. The non captains were not so great today.

I did not like the attitude of Maharashtra's team and their constant sarcasm aimed at Gujrat team. I hope Gujrat wins so that those fools learn a lesson.

I think the expectations that people had on Gujarat did Gujarat in. They had some of the most experienced, well founded singers with the best voice and I expected more from them. When I compare them with Maharashtra they sang better, but when I consider their potential it was far below par and that affected their score.

Although, Vaishali is a revelation and improves significantly by the day. Overall I feel her personality and demeanor is improved and makes for a better stage performance. I feel Maharashtra deserved to go ahead only because they delivered to expectations, but Gujarat did not.

However, I think it was unfair to let Rohit sing again. Irrespective of what happened; people have not been given second chances in such shows. It was unfortunate, but he should have dealt with it. He did sing Barso re very well - and I think he was honest in his claims on what went wrong; but I think had the judges not made an exception for him Maharashtra would have not gone ahead.

They both are absolutely great...nice to see 2 reality show singers so much focussed on sur, imporvisations....they both deserved to be the winners in their respective shows...take a bow Gajjia and also feel ashamed of your cheap tricks😉

Chill Gauri..its just a competition and I am sure their sarcasm is a script given to them....they aren't that capable of saying such things....
