Exactly - I honestly feel his voice is kuch daabi huwi si.....u put it in a better way "his voice lacks the throw" and especially in song Jhoom Barabar, it totally showed that his voice can not be heard.

From the start of any of their team's songs, the judges started out giving bad expressions and criticized small points, whereas when maharastra team was singing they kept on praising in superlatives and overlooked their very obvious faults. I am not sure what they get paid to do so.

Singers like Parthiv do not need such contests to prove them. unless these contests have a fair judging, I am not sure if they are worth having or watching.

Why do you think Parthiv does not need to prove himself? Just because he has sung a couple of film songs? No doubt he is a trained classical singer and a very talented one too. Singing in a studio is way different from singing in a live competition and that is exactly what put Parthiv in trouble! Parthiv is not big enough a singer to be above competing with new singers. Participation in such competitions will bring out areas where he needs further improvement. Just has this competition has shown Parthiv still needs to develop attributes for stage performances.

I think when singing refined and good classical songs and ghazals like Mehdi Hassan the voice has to be smooth and fluid. Hope Parthiv can emulate him too. Good "throw" songs was done by singers like Mussarat but some say he is besura too. so it is pretty confusing.

Mussarat is a fantastic singer, at times his voice sounded a bit shakey in some songs, however other songs he sung were out of this world.
Mussu is not a trained singer - whatever he knows and sings is from listening to Gulam Ali Saheb - so I have to say given a proper training mussu will be one of the best singers.
Mussu himself told me during world tour that he didn't know he was good at singing Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan songs, he totally gave credit to Himesh for bringing that side of him out.

While considering his age Rohit has been trying his best, personally I feel that Arya Ambekar would have been a far better choice. She was simply exceptional in the SRGMP Marathi L'il champs series.

Here are two of her performances.

There were many fine songs of her on youtube - jhale yuvati mana, pan khaiyye, etc on youtube but they have been deleted.

Thanks a very good singer.
Rohit's voice is changing so we have to wait for it to settle too. I believe he does not have a mum, if I recall. poor guy he is so well behaved.😊

Yes, in fact both Arya Ambekar and Prathamesh Laghate were better than Rohit in the Marathi Lil champs. I feel Rohit's Hindi SRGMP experience came handy and perhaps that's why he was selected ahead of the other 2. I have not seen Arya or Akhilesh sing modern Hindi songs which Rohit is pretty comfortable with.

Yes Mussarat could sing NFAK songs very well. He had a bit of problem with some filmy songs I think.
But to me frankly he sounded very good.
Pakistan has several such good singers I notice.
