I missed the ending - thought the creatives had gone in a good direction and now I find out he never told Simi that he loved her. Why???? Why'd he chicken out? This storyline makes no sense anymore.

I think he chickened out bcos of his age .....after all 22/24 is kinda too young to commit for life specially as you mention in one of your post that they havent spent a lot of time together. For Simi its different as Abhi is the only guy whose come close to her and she has been desperately looking for somebody to marry she is in that mind frame of commiting to somebody but for Abhi its all too sudden
