Producer husband makes it official
Sridevi's fans, who have been waiting to see her on the big screen ever since she took a break from acting in 1997, can rejoice. She's all set for her Bollywood comeback in husband Boney Kapoor's production "Mr India 2".
"Sri's fans can finally breathe a sigh of relief. There has been a great deal of speculation about her return and now it is finally on," Boney has said.
"We've already locked in the script. In two weeks, we'll finalise the director," he has further revealed.
Directed by Shekhar Kapur, "Mr India" (1987) is a science fiction/super hero film. It starred Boney's brother Anil Kapoor in the title role with Sridevi as his love interest.
The two will be seen in the sequel too, along with Salman Khan, who apparently insisted on being a part of the film.
"I don't think I can make a film without Salman. He is in Mr India 2 and also in the sequels to No Entry and Wanted. I'm his new Sooraj Barjatya," Boeny has been quoted as saying.
"Mr India 2" is set to go on the floors early next year.
