I think most of them name Hollywood actors to be safe and because their sense of competition (read jealousy) doesn't make it easy to name any top actors.

In terms of actresses, most of them at least don't follow the same logic, so it's good. However, in naming the favourite actresses, they would always name some old actress or a hollywood actress.

At least that is what I have observed, that it's hard to praise someone who is a competitor.

He has these regular names. His favorite actor is Pankaj Kapur, he likes Salman's style, Aamir's acting, SRK's star power. He's Amitabh's and Dilip Kumar's biggest pankha. From Hollywood he likes Al Pacino and really appreciates Tom Cruise's career graph.

I've been reading his interviews since '03, his answers have remained the same.
