i've always noticed that when ever a star is asked about their favourite actor or actress
most of them give answers of either hollywood stars and try to act all cool (u work in hindi industry😆) and or they will always give like old ppl in answer the closest i could think off was kareena once said that shahrukh was her favourite actor and priyanka raving about SRK craziness or mostly ppl will be stuck at amitabh
and favourite actresses i swear no one ever even came close to madhuri let alone rani they always answer like madhubala and zeenat aaman and all
but comon dont they see their collegues movies😆 calling those people favourite i think just signals respect for their work but not like favourite, afcourse no one is gonna act like madhubala
and for favourite movies i've NEVER heard anyone say a movie from 2000's the closest one was DDLJ or KKHH or smthing no one even answers close to anything like veer zaara or smthing

so wat do u guys think do they just say those answers because they will sound safe? or do they just not wanna praise their rival or so?

If they genuinely take a name whom the like to work with really very much the next day the media will splash news of their link up i think thats the reason they sound o politically correct all the time

like to work with is different and that we know as shahid said "we should never choose between our co-stars" but i meen genuinely if someone is asked for their fav actor or actress they will end up naming old stars i've never heard anyone say anil kapoor even they will stick to the classic answer- amitabh

i never take those so called stars/starlets' favorite actors answer.. it is always so contrived

i thought it was hilarious how that Giselle Monterio lady was like "my favorite indian actress is Smita Patel" or Waheeda Rehman or someone i don't rly remember..can someone with a good memory pls remind me..she mentioned someone totally unexpected.

HAHAHAH whatever lady... their PR/agent probably give them a run down of the list of safe actors/actresses' names to give so they don't piss off any camps..

if she was like an indian person who grew up watching indian flicks then those answers make sense but i don't think Giselle Monterio spent her formative years in Rio De Jeniero or wherever she comes from, watching movies starring whoever she mentioned...

Many stars also keep switching favourites, don't they. Earlier, I had read that SRK was Shahid's all time favourite actor but recently, it switched to Aamir Khan. I also think he named Dilip Kumar and earlier he had said Amitabh Bachan.
Shahid fan can correct me on this.
I think most of them name Hollywood actors to be safe and because their sense of competition (read jealousy) doesn't make it easy to name any top actors.
In terms of actresses, most of them at least don't follow the same logic, so it's good. However, in naming the favourite actresses, they would always name some old actress or a hollywood actress.
At least that is what I have observed, that it's hard to praise someone who is a competitor.

Their standard answer for Bollywood is: Bacchan SR, Dilip Kumar, SRK.....don't hear Aamir's name much...but that's picking up too. From actresses its usually Sri Devi, Madhuri, Waheeda Rehman or someone from the past who could care less.

Standard answer for hollywood actors: Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt and I've heard Marlon Brando a few times. Actresses: Angelina Jolie is the popular answer.
