We have seen many SRGMP winners from East in last 4-5 years. Who is the best singer among them?
Debojit(C05 winner) - He was good and still very good singer but unfortunately he has old style voice and do not have firm grip on sur and lack innovation.
Ujjaini(Ek main aor ek tu winner) - She was a good at lower note but higher note was her weakness, always shouts at higher notes.
Aishwariya Nigam (EMET co-winner) - He was not a good singer in C09 and EMET, but improved most among winners. He was completely a different singer in recent shows and was among top 2-3 but unfortunately always got eliminated in first or second round. Most underrated singer, unfortunately he was not invited for any show again.
Sanchita(1st LC) - I think she is another very good singer, actually I did not find any particular weakness in her singing. Only weakness is identity crisis, otherwise she is very surili, always sings with feel and correctly. As she has identity crisis she needs to become more melody to be counted.
Aneek(C07 winner) - He is another very good singer, he never lost sur whenever I heard him, technically perfect, sang all kinds of song, I really wish if his voice be little more mature. With mature voice he can be one of the most successful singer because he has all other aspect of high class.
Anamika - She still belongs to kid, so will not put her in league of above winners.
My judgement: Sanchita has the best potential to go far if she concentrate on singing. She has natural bengali sweetness in her voice, she just needs to make her voice more melodious to get some of songs from Shreya's plate. Her forte is melodious song, so needs to work real hard because there is more talented singer in melodious category.
