BV Update 12th November 2009

everyone are having dinner. gehna says that basant had said that he wld be late. bhairav asks anandi n jagya abt their studies. anandi says that she is studying. anandi asks abt the sabji that she specially prepared for dadisa but dadisa says that she has put too much salt. bhairav sees that maasa is upset n when asked, maasa says that she is worried abt mahaveer singh. he wldn't keep quiet even if he is in jail. bhairav says that police arrested him with proofs and there is nothing to worry . Instead he is happy that kajan singh will get his land back. he continues talking abt it but maasa gets irritated and in between starts asking sumitra abt the godh-bharayi. sumitra says that all preparations are done but they cldn't contact gehna's parents. so basant has said that he wld go to their house next day n bring them.
headmaster comes to their house. jagya looks a bit scared. bhairav and maasa go to meet him. Headmaster says that a function is organised for children's day and some teachers from the city wld be visiting the school. so he had come to ask if anandi cld take part in the function and recite a poem. maasa tries to prevent it but bhairav calls anandi and says abt taking part. anandi looks at dadisa and then tries to escape by telling abt the work for godh-bharayi. bhairav finally makes anandi to agree.
anandi is in her room . she brings the ashes in front of kanhaji and asks for forgiveness cos she lied to bhairavabt studies. dadisa knock the door. anandi hides the ashes under her bed and opens the door. dadisa very sweetly talks to anandi that though she has agreed for anandi to go to school, she has not done it happily. she did it cos she didn't want any fight in the house. so anandi shld always remember the promise that she has given dadisa. dadisa goes out and anandi looks on sadly
basant is getting ready to go to gehna's house. gehna says that she doesn't want her parents to come cos they have to get gifts and this might be a financial strain on them. basant says that son-in-law is like a son only. he will take care of everything. before going he gives her a gift. its a gold chain with a locket of devi-ma. basant says that he wanted to be the first to give her the gift. gehna is happy seeing the gift. basant asks her to wear it for her godh-bharayi.
anandi, jagya and phooli go the school. headmaster gives the anandi the poem she has to recite and asks her to memorise it. jagya goes to catch seats for them in the front.
basant comes to gehna's house. gehna's sister gives him water and basant sees that the sleeve is torn. basant comes to know that the crop was not good that yr and he is upset that they have not said him abt it n that he cld have helped. father says that they have already taken so much help from them. basant says abt the godh-bharayi. Seeing the family looking worried he says that they needn't worry abt the shagun. he has bought everything. gehna needs their blessings. he asks them to get ready.
in the school , the teachers from the city arrive. all students run to see them. anandi n phooli are at the back. they try to see what is happening at the front but is not able to. anandi tells phooli that they will see later. phooli says that she cld see something. anandi tells her not to lie and that if she lies ........ the sentence is completed by anandi's teacher "her nose will become big". anandi is happy seeing her and runs and hugs her.
