As I watched the new hats off show, I observed that its outer appearance is similar to Jasuben Jayantilaal Joshi ki Joint Family (JJJKJF)...but it is trying to be Remote Control (RC).
1)The Looks: The looks of Mohan bhai is quite similar to that of babulnaath(Deven Bhojani) of RC and that of his wife is similar to baramasi(Supriya Pathak Kapur, who played babunaath's wife) of RC
2) Struggle against Rain: Rain entering the house through ceiling and the family members collecting rain water in buckets/ vessels was already shown in RC SEASON#2 First Episode.
3) Hidden Camera: đ˛This is the biggest concept taken entirely from RC, only difference being Tina (Ketkie J.) is the babulnaath of Sukh by chance. It appears as if she has signed a deal with a channel/production company who wants to do a reality show, in which the channel hides a camera (or many cameras) to record and telecast the activities of a typical middle class family.
The ending scene in which Rs 3. crore is credited in Mohan bhai's a/c is probably due to the channel/production company - Tina deal (just like the babulnaath-goldn aaye deal in Remote Control). I think if my inference goes right, then Mohan bhai wont like this as he believes no work no money policy....
Even that Rs. 3000 that tina had was probabily the money that Tina received from the Production Company. She is hiding some big truth.
I think Hats OFF wanted to continue and publicize Remote Control, but it went into drain because of weak channel and poor timings. Even in an interview JD said that RC was his hard work on which he worked for many years and was his favourite concept among his new shows. So in my opinion according to what picture of this show appears in my mind currently, SBC is an attempt through which JD wants to reincarnate Remote Control by blending it by cast of Jasuben Jayantilaal Joshi ki Joint Family as viewers of that show wanted to see same cast again.
This is what I inferred, but my prediction can go wrong. đ
Comparing with RC's first episode, which showed love of two teenagers-Bunty and bubbly , who belonged to a middle class family for their parents and self-respect of a middle class family (the ending scene in which the family goes for a coffee to a nearby coffee shop in night dressđ during night time. The kids had organized the coffee shop plan for their parents as their wedding anniversary gift. They had Rs 100, and coffee(for 4) cost Rs. 94..but when bunty goes for payment, the shop added VAT tax on it and they asked bunty for Rs 105.........Bunty is ready for punishment, asks his parents to go and says he says he is coming. His mother comes to know that something has gone wrong....takes his husband and daughter to the counter where bunty is arguing with the waiter.....she comes to know that all that was only for Rs 11! she at that very moment takes out Rs 20 folded in her kangan and asks the waiter to keep the change! RC's first episode was much better than that of SBC, but i think it was due to some restrictions (Hats off didnt want to copy it as a whole)....but SBCs first episode was better or equal to that of JJJKJF. The major difference in RC and SBC is that RC was weekly while SBC is daily show and it is a known fact for hats off shows...weekly shows are more polished than dailies...
