Story of two brothers in Ramayan

Sugreev and Bali were brothers. Bali became the king of Vanara or monkeys and his capital was Kishkindha. Sugreev lived respectfully doing his brother's bidding. Hanuman was a minister and dear friend of Sugreev. One day a danava named Durmad challenged Bali to a fight. Bali was angry and gave him such a blow that he fell down in a swoon. Then he ran and hid in a cave in the hills. Bali ran after him, with Sugreev in tow. Bali was about to enter the cave when he told Sugreeva, "If I do not come out from here within a month, consider me dead." After a month a stream of blood flowed out of the cave. Sugreev thought that Bali had been killed. To prevent the demon from escaping, he shut the mouth of the cave with a huge cliff and returned to Kishkindha. The monkeys declared him to be the new king and coronated him. But Bali had not been killed. He killed Dhrupad and tried to come out of the cave but he found the entrance blocked. He was filled with rage. Somehow he managed to remove the rock and returned to Kishkindha. When he saw Sugreev seated on the throne, his anger knew no bounds. He leapt to attack Sugreev. But Sugreev took to his heels. He ran all over, but Bali was close at heel. Sugreeva got weary of running when Hanuman suggested a way out. Bali could not go to Rishyamukha, the abode of Matanga Rishis, because of a curse placed on him. Therefore Sugreev could find a safe place to stay there. Sugreev and his followers began to stay on Rishyamukha.

One day Hanuman was sitting on Rishyamukha Mountain with his companions. Just then Ravan was carrying Sita away in his chariot via the aerial route. Sita was crying bitterly and calling out. The five monkeys seated on the Mountaintop were visible to her. So she threw some of her jewels down to them. Sugreeva kept them safe with him. When Ram and Lakshman came there in search of Sita, they went to the ashram of sage Matanga. They met Shabari who advised them to meet Sugreev. Hence Ram went to Rishyamukha Mountainwith Lakshman. Sugreev saw them coming from afar. He wondered if they were spies sent by his estranged brother Bali. So he sent Hanuman to them to find out. Hanuman took the guise of a Brahmin and spoke to them. After he knew who they were, Hanuman introduced Ram and Lakshman to Sugreev, who showed them the jewels thrown down by Sita. Ram recognized them as hers. Sugreev offered to help Ram in his search for Sita. But he said, I have to stay hidden here for fear of my brother. He narrated all the events leading to the animosity between the two brothers. Ram heard his tale and offered to kill Baliand get Roma, Sugreeva's wife who had been taken away by Bali.. Sugreev said that to be able to kill Bali there are some tasks you must be able to complete. First is lifting the carcass of Dundubhi demon and the second is piercing seven saal trees with a single arrow. Shri Ram lifted the skeleton of Dundubhi with ease, using just the big toe of his foot and threw it into the sea. Then with one sharp arrow, he pierced the seven-saal trees at one. So, Sugreev was assured of Rama's prowess. Sugreev and Ram pledged their friendship with fire as their witness. Ram said, "Now you challenge Bali to a wrestling match and I will kill him." Sugreeva called Bali to fight and the two were engaged in a battle between equals. Hurt by Bali Sugreev fell near Ram. Now Ram said, both of you look so alike, I cannot tell you apart. How could I aim my arrow? So Ram put a garland of flowers around Sugreeva to identify him. Now Sugreev fought Baliagain. Rama aimed an arrow at Bali's while concealed behind a tree. Bali fell down unconscious. Bali asked Ram "Why have you killed me when I have not done you any harm?" Ram said "Sugreeva is your younger brother and his wife should have been treated like a daughter by you. But due to your animosity, you have taken her away and kept her as your wife it is because of this grave sin and my friendship with Sugreeva that I have killed you."


Story of two sisters in CB

Well, though there is height and weight difference between Vishaka and Radhika, they have showed in CB land, that they often can be mistaken to be the other........
Many instances point to that, including the bride switch, RP puja and latest Dev mistaking Vishaka to be Radhika when she returned back to V............

So, this story of Bali and Sugreev came to my mind...........Both were alike, looks wise but one was Good and one was bad...........similarly two sisters here, one Kanha bhakt and one is big opportunist..............

My Take

Our dear Amma asked Thakurji to show her a way..............And she thinks she succeeded by making Vishaka wear the payal sent by Dev.........The payal that was sent for Radhika, that was meant for Radhika............

Well, as we know she is sadly mistaken..............This is a BIG LEELA of our Kanha..............
Think about it guys, NEVER EVER, anything that BELONGED to Radhika truly, could become Vishaka's ever...........Even after trying to snatch Dev by doing wife swapping, they could NOT succeed............Dev could never become Vishaka's...................

First in the haldi rasam, she tried her best that Vishaka would "TOUCH" the haldi.............NEVER HAPPENED

Then tried Mehendi to be applied first to Vishaka - ..NEVER HAPPENED

Even when she tried to play dirty with mehendi, it was Vishaka, whose hands were burnt..............

So, when she challenged Thakurji, then begged him to save Vishaka's hands and now pleading him to show her the way............and finally thinking, she succeeded in getting the payal on Vishaka's ankle..................

Watch out...............these very anklets (payal) would "SAVE" Radhika from Amma's trickery.............If we ought to believe that amma would be causing fire, then in that flames
Vishaka would be TRAPPED............Amma would assume that Radhika is Vishaka, because of the PAYAL and vice versa..........and will dig her own grave ( i mean in the proverbial way)..............

You are right Anu! Payal will have similiar significance.

I think somehow without amma's knowledge vishakha will give the payal to radhika....and when whatever burning track or other physical harm might happen amma might actually push vishakha thinking she is radhika without payal into it..... also there may not be burn/fire track but just a bride switch where amma might be under impression its vish taking pheras while it would be radhika with payal (also i think vish does not want to get married to dev..or has anything to do with PB...all she wants is money..but somehow she will end up in PB...hoping she is on radhs side)

Also in todays episode vish told radhika to change her maangtika which amma is not aware of ....i dont know but somehow that change also has relevance to the track....

I think this payal was sent with purpose........Why should Dev get the idea of sending the payal now, especially when he spoke to Radhika on phone..........and Radhika told him that she was leaving for Gauri puja...........

Why should Birju not wait for Radhika? At that very minute, why was he in front of amma and not anyone else for that matter???

And Amma, why does it come to her Mind to get this payal to Vishaka..........???

I think this is Kanha's Leela to "Teach" Amma a big lesson and also to "Save" Radhika.........................

That is okay Valley house. It was long post, I posted it in two sections, hence it was easy to miss............

Anyways, Yes, I think Vishaka and Amma are NOT thinking about the same thing.............

Amma's mind is focussed on getting Vishaka back in PB, while Vishaka might be either AFTER Money or might have really Changed (for all we know)..............

I think going by precap, that since Devki says, Vishaka was NEVER MARRIED , neither the mangal sutra was put on her nect, nor the Sindoor..............

Amma will get the idea of bride switch and making Vishaka sit in the mandap..............Whatever it might be..................

How the story unfolds is in the hands of creatives, but, Amma's TIME HAS COME NOW......................Kanha will TEACH her lesson of her LIFE.........................

ap logonke muhe me ghee shakar. I really hope you guys are right. I am thinking on similar lines but i can't get my mind to accept it. I know with in that everything will be fine but since the rumor or the bride getting burnt I am not able to enjoy any of this. I really hope things will work out soonnnnnn. Though i would not want any one to be burnt at the wedding. Not even Vishakha

Yes, DevRadhika4Ever. Neither do I want Vishaka to be burnt............But remember one thing Shastriji said, Apne Paap aur punya ka hisaab issi janam mein dena padtha hain..........

And Amma's sins have crossed all limits now..........God gave her a WARNING by hurting Vishaka's hands.........Even if she is not getting his WILL then she will be taught lesson...........Even Sisupaal was NOT spared after the 101th mistake.............
