Today I am tempted to share a story from my growing up. Everyday, Goddess Parvati would wait for Lord Shiva for dinner, but he would delay everyday and make her wait. When she would be annoyed with him and ask why he makes him, his wife wait everyday, he would say that this is because he can only eat after all his subjects have eaten, what has been given to them by destiny as their due share. This answer annoyed Goddess Parvati further, who decided to play a little trick with him the next day. She took a little box, of the size of a match box and locked a little ant in there. After retiring for the day from his duties, Lord Shiva came home, and both Lord shiva and Goddess Parvati sat and ate dinner. Lord Shiva was surprised that Goddess Parvati did not get annoyed with him today. After dinner, Goddess Parvati, couldn't hold herself any longer, and told her husband, that today, He did not realize but one of his subjects hadn't eaten before he sat down to eat. That's when Lord Shiva, just smiles and says, reall? Goddess Parvati says, ofcourse and I have the proof. She brings out the 'dabbi' from her 'batua', and opens it, and lo behold, sees the ant feeding on a grain of rice. Soon, she realizes, through Lord Shiva's 'ishraa's' that the grain fell off from her own tilak when she was closing the box. As kids, my mom used to tell us this story to prove to us that when something is your due, you get it, and God is always watching over you to give it to you - and sometimes he finds miraculous ways to do it. Even when someone with Godly powers (like Parvati Mata in this story) try to deny you the same, so long as you do your dharma, so long as you deserve it, you get what is your due. Please don't get me wrong, this story is not meant to demean Mata Parvati - but just a metaphor to show that if you deserve it nothing can deny you your rights and that God is always watching over their subjects and looking out for them. Similarly, no matter how much Amma tries, Kanha should not let anything wrong happen with Radhika.

Unfortunately though this is a fictional serial and it is not Kanha but Creatives who will decide what is better in the interest of their TRPs. We can only wait and watch.

I love your post and it brought tears to my eyes!!!

So, god watches over all, he does give what one deserves...good or bad, he does give.

I'm hopeful that our Kanha (creatives) don't show god in a bad way, letting the evils win over good...look at Raven, he thought he was king, but it was the good of Ram that beat him in the end.

beautiful post! Indai fmmm- actually the way I heard the story was that it was Shiva who challenges Parvati 9as she is annapoorni- one who feeds). So he "hides the ant in the cask and hides it in his matted locks. But it is said that when he opens it to show Devi that she had not fed the ant, he was surprised to see the grain of rice there! She is shaakambari too.

Beautiful Post !! even I have heard this story...

I konw God is watching all and will definitely reward his subject..
I agree that this a fictional story and one can twist in whichever way one likes.. But since this story is based on LORD KANHA I would like the creatives to show justice being done to good and punishment for the Bad

I would mind tolerating all the evile done on RaDev, if at the end the creatives show how if all the evil doers r punished rightly..specially Amma for so many misdoing of her

I would not like it if they just show that the evil doers realize their mistake and say sorry and they r forgiven and all is well... I would like them to show some sufferings on them..

Seriously I did not like the way they showed Vish's re-entry.. She just came in and everybody welcomed her with open arms.. She was just slapped by Dadi and shown the real world and Shastri ji's coldness, nothing else..

I would like to see what she had suffered in the past b'coz that would be the true punishment given to her by GOD to turn her into a new leaf

Mann: Excellent post....Yes, I know this story, and it reaffirms my faith that God definitely watches over his subjects..............even when the things seems to go wrong, there is a reason for it, even when the human mind cannot see it at that second, in the long run, we will understand, what happened was for a cause.................Way back I had written a story which I knew since childhood about the king and his minister....

Just to refresh, I will put it again..............
There was once a Minister to a King who was in the habit of declaring whatever happened was for one's good. One day the King cut his finger . Seeing the bleeding finger the Minister said as usual "God does everything for the best". The King flew into a rage and said "Here I am suffering with the pain of a bleeding finger and you say God does everything for the best. Enough of your philosophy. Is this the way of consoling me? How can this be for the best when the pain is intense and real? The King immediately committed the Minister to prison. Even then the Minister said calmly "Even this sentence is for my best."

A few days later, the King went alone for hunting in a forest. When the hunting expedition was over the King was resting under a tree. Just then the servants of a certain tribal chief of the forest seized the King, bound his hand and foot. The King questioned them: "Why do you bind me? What are you going to do with me?" The tribesmen replied: "We are going to sacrifice you at the altar of our goddess Kali. It is the custom to offer her a human sacrifice once a year. The time has arrived. We have been looking out for a human being. We are fortunate in having found you." The King remonstrated: "Let me go, I am the King of the realm, you cannot kill me for the sacrifice." The tribesmen laughed and said: "We are glad that this year's sacrifice would be unique and our goddess will be highly pleased because we are going to offer as sacrifice a great personage."

The King was carried and duly placed on a sacrificial altar. Things were ready for the death blow; the priest noticed the bandage on his left hand forefinger. They removed the bandage only to find that a portion of it was cut. The priest said: "This man is not acceptable as a sacrifice to our goddess. A man with a defect in his body is not fit for sacrifice. Set him free."

The King remembered the words of the Minister uttered when his finger was cut "God does everything for the best." He realised that the injury to his finger alone had saved him from death. He at once hurried home and went straight to the prison to set the Minister free. He said, "I seek your forgiveness for the rash and cruel treatment accorded to you." The Minister said: "Your Majesty; you have done no harm. There is nothing to forgive." The King once again questioned: "Why did you say that my sending you to prison is for your good?" The Minister replied: "If I had not been confined in prison, I would have accompanied you when you went for hunting. I would have been in your Company. When the tribesmen came to know that you were unfit for sacrifice, they would have chosen me and offered me as a sacrifice. So God does everything for the best."

So, I think, even among all the confusion and the depression and sadness that is because of fire news, I think even if that happens, that will HAPPEN for a REASON and instead of being low and depressed, we all should see how the story unfolds and brings RaDev together in the moment of difficulty and how God watches over them and finally unites them.................

My reason exactly to continue watching this show even after Radhika's burning. I want to see evil punished and suffer just like how RaDev have been suffering and will suffer until the end of the show. Evil should not go scott free after reazling their mistakes...they should suffer as well.
