Tabu on Indian Idol
Tonight's episode will see glamour a touch paramount heights with the presence of gorgeous Tabu on the show. "These contestants are unbelievable… its truly an experience being on the show. I am very fond of singing and was even learning classical singing, but unfortunately my guruji absconded! Nevertheless… My mother is a beautiful singer and she will be amazed to see me judge Indian Idol tonight," said Tabu thrillingly.
The show starts with Indian Idol's junior Udit Narayan a.k.a Sandeep Acharya who is asked to sing his 'Papa kehte hain' rendition more gregariously. 'Dil Khulke gayo' said Tabu after his performance. For the young and small Mata Bhakt, Neha Kakkar who just recovered from chicken pox, Tabu said, "you are a beautiful dancer also… aapko aapne moves pe dhyan dena chahiye!"
And then you will see Mumbai's Amey Date, whose "Tum jo mil gaye ho" touches Tabu's heart. She is not just overwhelmed by his performance, but also appreciates his correct Urdu pronunciations in the song. Next comes Mumbai's Meenal Jain whose 'Lambi judai' couldn't stop Tabu from saying, "aapka dard is gane mein mehsoos ho raha tha."
Tabu will evn be seen supporting Ravi Tripathi, who fell flat on the judges comments for his performance on 'Har kisiko nahi milta." Tabu is the only judge supporting him and said, "You have picked up a very difficult song and put in your best efforts." Along with other judges even Tabu will be seen taken by surprise with Kolkata's Antara Mitra whose persona has completely changed on Indian Idol.
Next comes Panna Gill dancing and singing his way on 'Jaanu Meri jaan' with zest and enthusiasm that took everyone by surprise. Tabu calls him "An all in one package" for his brilliant performance. And making her mark as a true performer was Monali Thakur whose 'Yaar bina chain kahan re" took everyone by surprise. The treat of the evening was Abhishek Bachchan's look alike Hyderabadi NC Karunya, whose "Kawa Kawa" won him accolades not just from the three judges but also Tabu who congratulates him for singing a Punjabi song so well. He also receives a standing ovation from Anu Malik who says, "This is what Indian Idol is all about!" Watch out for NC Karunya singing a beautiful Telugu song for Tabu who gets overjoyed. "This is the spirit of Indian Idol. A show that is not just about good singing… but presenting talent that can make the nation sing along with them!" exclaimed Farah Khan.
