Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan offered prayers at the famous Akshardham temple on the banks of river Yamuna in East Delhi on Friday.
Amitabh, accompanied by wife Jaya Bachchan and son Abhishek Bachchan , offered prayers on the occasion of the 50th birthday of close friend and Samajwadi Party general secretary Amar Singh who was with them at the temple.
The Bachchans' family friend and business tycoon Anil Ambani and his wife Tina Ambani were also present on the occasion.
Amitabh was dressed in a brown pullover worn over kurta-pyjama and had a cream-coloured shawl. Abhishek was dressed similarly in a white kurta-pyjama and had a checkered blue shawl around his neck.
The security at the temple was tight and the Bollywood stars did not make any statement to the media. However, Amitabh did wave his hand to the crowd of fans and also greeted them with a namaskar.
Amar Singh reportedly made a donation of Rs 50 lakh to the temple on the occasion.
A few weeks back, Amitabh, Abhishek, Amar Singh and Anil Ambani had visited the famous Lord Venkateshwara Temple in Tirupati to offers prayers after Big B's recovery from an intestinal infection.
