Our photographer Sachin Haralkar spotted veteran actor Shashi Kapoor enjoying a day out at the circus with his daughter Sanjana and grandson

Those who went to Rambo Circus at Bandra Reclamation yesterday evening were pleasantly surprised to see veteran actor Shashi Kapoor accompanied by his daughter Sanjana and her young son (in red T-shirt). True to his humble nature, Shashi Kapoor, despite sitting on a wheelchair due to his frail health, didn't demand any special seating arrangement and bought regular tickets to sit with the audience.

Nobody knew he was there until our photographer started clicking his pictures. When the circus staff and a few jokers went to meet him, he spoke to them for some time and also gladly posed for pictures. As soon as the audience realised that Shashi Kapoor was in their midst, they rushed to him for autographs and enthusiastically started clicking his pictures on their mobile phones.

Daughter Sanjana evidentally couldn't resist the temptation to click her father too. Shashi gave an autograph to a little boy and then held up his hand and told everyone, "Main circus dekhne aaya hoon, please mujhe circus dekhne dijiye." Refusing to believe that it was really him, a few women went up to him and asked, "Kya aap Shashi Kapoor hain?"
