Episode Dissection 29/10/09
I'm pulling this episode apart to see the guts of it and maybe glean some facts.
I better start with a disclaimer that these are all my views only.
What???? Prem and Ash standing at the door and having silent eye conversation?
'why are you here prem?' 'to get an answer' blah blah.
What??? Again. Prem stands close to Ash to intimidate her? Then moves away with his back to her, then comes back close behind her left shoulder. All the while questioning her.
Ash does her I'll tell you what you want to hear and then I'll tell you what you don't want to hear act.
She finally tells him what he was dreading to hear. And then he yells "why did you tell me now then?" which I thought was ridiculous.
And Ash very logically tells him that he's the one who came to her and insisted on getting an answer. And also rams the point home with 'bataane ya na bataanese sachaai toh nahi badal jaati'
Hmmmm well detective Prem (Agent James Juneja) had no answer to that. He turns to jelly at the thought of losing heer and walks out on the road.
Meanwhile back at mission headquarters, detective heer (jane bond juneja) dhan ta naaaaaan!!
Walks in stylishly while chahat sneha and geet maasi are chatting and removes Sneha.skilfull extraction.
Sneha, who is no fool asks, "why did you extract me?" Jane Juneja smoothly lies that Sneha's mum called her and asked her to take Sneha home. Ewwww Heer why do you have to do this? Can't you just ask the girl what her mother's name is? That might give you a clue? Even if Ashlesha is a common name it's still going to help you connect the dots? Maybe? No? ok whatever.
Can I blame Ash for ROFLing after Prem left? Errrr no.She's maha pleased with how easy the whole thing was and gloats in front of Daljeet's picture,then moves to the mirror and gloats some more and finally turns to the camera and gives us a full dose.
Meanwhile Jane Juneja with prisoner Sneha in tow drives to Sneha's place. Gets out of car and says,
"hmmmm where have I seen this building before?" *scratching head*
Errr excuse me agent 009, when prem had his last accident, you were called to pick him up from Ash's place. You would have been given an address? And today when you asked your prisoner where she livedshe would have given you an address?
Oh then of course agent prem drives and we all know what's coming.
Are we surprised anymore with jane's instructions to prem? No? I thought so.
What really shocked us was Jane's new Driver Uncle! You know I think he's probably another agent working undercover. What a twist! Stay tuned for''.james and jane Get Smart!
I'm left scratching my head a bit more than usual.Prem has been reduced to a cartoon character.Heer following close behind. Geet hanging around is also intriguing me no end. What, pray tell me, is her purpose there? a playmate for Chahat? a soul sister for Heer? today she narrowed her eyes suspiciously when Heer stole Sneha away. I hope she will step in and ask Sneha a few questions while pretending to admire her brilliant school work.
