What the hell was with today's episode?

I couldn't believe what they showed

When all the Vashishts go out for dinner, a waiter recognizes Jyoti and they are given an cake and Jyoti gets her picture taken to put on the wall of celebrities

But they showed Choti Maa and Meenal being so irritated

What was with that?

Why is there a sudden flip of charaters in the show?

Okay, they always showed Choti Maa to be a bit snippy and serious, but she was always practical and always wanted what was best

Now she's suddenly turned all around and is completely against Jyoti

And Meenal, she was always nice to Jyoti, never had any problem with her, but suddenly, she too is a negative charater, Jealous of Jyoti

What is the point of all this. This was the one show that didn't deal with saas-bahu drama, it was different

But now thats exactly where it's headed

There's one elder in the house who hates the main character, and one girl, who is married, but will always be interfering in her maayka

I's starting to become ridiculous

Girl i agree with you, i didnt watch todays episode so i didnt know what was going on, thanks for the mini update. Man CM has become so negative, well u know what they have no more villans in the show and now have to create some drama, who better than CM and her annoying beti meenal. Why is she all hell bent in interfering in their lives. ..too much drama!!

i agree meenal was all nice in the beginning ...but now she behaves the same like her mother..its kinda annoying n she is gonna create more probs btw pankaj and jyoti as she is gonna stay for long dis time..

Yeah, it's become ridiculous in more ways than just this one. But here, I'll comment on just this.

For Meenal, I sorta understand why she thought what she did, looking @ it from her pov. She's in town for bhai-duj plus some, and that evening was supposed to be a family outing in her honor. It was all going beautifully until the restaurant staff interfered. (Personally, I thought it was rude of them to release Jyoti's photo to the paper w/o asking - a lot of people don't like the publicity, just as a lot do). So what started as a lovely family evening in her honor got soured by the staff interfaring, but it's nonetheless wrong of Minal to blame Jyoti, rather than the staff, for it.

The other thing - Jyoti just gathered some women in Brij's mohulla, and got them to turn on Brij. How is that a newsworthy item that makes her famous, and that too in a restaurant which is unlikely to be anywhere near that locality? This plot-line didn't make sense at all. Would it have been too boring had they just showed the family having an enjoyable evening and then returning from dinner? Also, how would Jyoti's photo be a front page photo, as it was?

But CM came off as totally unhinged, and unlike in the past, is no longer making sense. It almost looks like the creatives wanted to make her a villain, but didn't succeed the first time, and are trying it again now. First she blames Jyoti for stealing the night, and after that, in the morning, blames Jyoti for trying to make the family a launching pad for her social activism (incidentally, what was CM doing having parties w/ the leader of the local women's orgs, when she wanted Jyoti to be there?) And her last statement was crass - accusing Jyoti of wanting to just grow up and marry into a rich family. 😡😡😡

Looking at the promos where she demands that Jyoti split the Suday couple, looks like she'll only turn out to be worse w/ time. But I think that they are trying to evolve the story where slowly, everybody in the family turns against Jyoti - first cm, then Meenal, then Gayatri and probably next Uday (once he finds out how Jyoti has been deceiving them all re: Sushma), then probably Mahendranath, Pratik & Pankaj.

I agree Vrisha, CM was a fair person, i liked her chracter better that way. Before she weighed out all points and thought logically. Now its become all about revenge, she has turned negative because there is no one else to create drama? Now with brij gone i guess someone has to be the troublemaker. As for meenal, her chracter has done a 360, from bhabi bhabi to Jyoti..its very rude.
