I'm guilty of the same as well Shanta....initially after my wedding I used to ask hubby to hold the safety pins or look at the length from behind etc and my MIL didnt know for a long time until hubby started knowledably talking about saris much to his momz surprise and she asked him how he knew so much about pallas and falls and all that good stuff...these guys have to show off how much they know about everything!!!

oh MIL's never understand how difficult it is to tie saarees for new bahu's like us....i had to ask my hubby to hold the pleats for me, and put the safety pins coz i couldn't do it alone..it was not possible.. 😃 now tht i've tied 10-15 saarees in 5 yrs, i can tie it myself without any help ...but most of the times i prefer to get it done frm the parlour..it's better
