Ritu, problem lies with the Indian girls ......MIL is saying I have to have a son....for pete's sake use your brain dear tell her loud & clear ......it is the man (your son) who effectively decides the sex of the baby not us women so why this taana business to girls.

My friends here tease me that I have a JKG but fine by me...... we both love & respect each other with ILS in B/w lol. I tell them .......About cooking n household work, why don't we think that we have Sanjeev Kapoor.......what I mean is at least now they are not ashamed of touching 'Tawa n Kadai"!! Maybe things are changing....ladies pl let it change!

Even today Indian janta does not like 'Gharjamai' n 'joru ka gulam'(definations may vary !!) so to an extent women in India like male dominence.

Tina its not all the girl's fault yaar...its the older gen's fault around whom the girl is born and brought up with that thinking....which girl doesnt want a JKG...who doesnt want to throw her legs on top of the sofa and relax after a hard day of work...but its that mould or steroytype that was built up ages ago and it still exists deep rooted....
and dont get me started on the having a boy thingi...a friend of mine recently had a boy after having 3 girls coz her MIL was pressurizing and taana marofying for the kul deepak or whatever crap...and used to blame her for the girls...and when she had a boy, her MIL gave all kudos to her son.....its silly but what had happened 2 ur son the last 3 times....3 failures and 1 success is not a reason to sing your trumpet to the whole world!!!

I agree as I've seen that happen as well. MIL forcing & DIL pleasing with SON...... I' m assuming that your fr is in US...... see she is not with her MIL 24/7 she is just taan maroing but not suli per chdaing na so she can just ignore her. But deep down I'm sure your fr also wanted to have a boy that's why she agreed .......I think the problem is that these old customs and ideologies are so ingrained in these women........that they also believe that to carry forward the family name we have to have a son...complete bullshit I just fail to understand today's well educated Indian girls!😕

Hoping , few people will have the tenacity to go against a defined society norm and we will not see this kind of submissive behaviour from many women.

Oh ho so sad for her........Hoping for a change now......
TV is a very powerful medium. Instead of getting our minds corrupted by kitchen politics & glycerin factory these serials (they do leave great mark on our minds subconsciously) - let us make these media guys to use it to show some thing which makes the society better - there should be some social message - helps in exposing and getting rid of evils in the society - rather than glorifying it. Let's see what message this kaka kaki track brings !

Our updaters could be busy at some point of times so thats why the updates don't get up as quick as they used to. Lets sort of try to stay patient for the udpate to be posted instead of opening a new topic and asking for updates.
Thank you. =)
