Though they have never even admitted being a couple, ANGELINA JOLIE has confirmed that she is pregnant with BRAD PITT's child.
And ET has learned through JENNIFER ANISTON's reps that Brad did not make a call to break the news to his ex-wife before it hit the presses Wednesday morning. Jen reportedly learned the update when the baby news was confirmed to People magazine.
Angelina's ex BILLY BOB THORNTON, out in L.A. last night, politely smiled, but had no comment on the story.
Angelina is reportedly due this summer. Both Jolie and Pitt's representatives have confirmed the pregnancy. And last night at the many red-carpet events, the stars couldn't stop talking about the big news.
"That's my girl," QUEEN LATIFAH said. "Congratulations!"
And 'Glory Road' star JOSH LUCAS says he's thrilled for the couple. "Good for them," he said. "They honestly seem to be a couple that's in love, and if you find that in this business you're very lucky, so I'm actually happy for them."
Sources tell ET that Angelina has been posing for a respected artist who is painting her pregnant -- and naked -- so she can record the changes in her body as she gets ready to give birth. She's posed at least twice, and Brad was there for one of those sittings.

Angelina is currently in the Dominican Republic working on the ROBERT De NIRO-directed drama 'The Good Shepherd' with dad-to-be MATt DAMON. In the movie, she plays Matt's wife and becomes pregnant in the film, which spans several decades. Brad has been seen by Angelina's side in Santo Domingo, the country's capital, shepherding her adopted children, four-year-old MADDOX and baby ZAHARA.
Hollywood's most sought-after stars first became close while working on last summer's box office hit, 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith,' consistently dodging rumors that they were more than friends.
Since then, they have been photographed together, with Angelina's children, across the globe -- everywhere from an African beach to the English countryside and Malibu.
Back in December, Pitt filed paperwork seeking to be the adoptive father of Jolie's already adopted children.
Pitt and ex Aniston's divorce was finalized October 2, 2005. The former power couple initially announced news of their split back in January 2005. "We would like to announce that after seven years together we have decided to formally separate," they said in a joint statement. Aniston officially filed for divorce in March, citing irreconcilable differences.
This is Angelina's first pregnancy. She was previously wed to BILLY BOB THORNTON from 2000-2002 and her first husband was actor JONNY LEE MILLER. They split in 1999.
