But because she makes everyone else look good when they AREN'T.
If you look at it objectively, Rakhi-Elesh are probably the best parents on this show. Who handled a pyjama party with 5 rowdy kids without throwing a tantrum? Rakhi. Who did not take off her empathy belly even for a second? Rakhi. Who is the best cook and housekeeper? Rakhi. Who was the only parent who bothered to teach her child about not wasting food and littering the garden? Rakhi. The one who spent the maximum time trying to build a rapport with her crying infant? Rakhi.
Elesh has surprised me too. I did not expect a publicity-hungry NRI (that's what I would think of anyone who would want to marry someone on a TV show) to handle kids with simple good sense and patience. He was the only one who had the sense to take back his kid when Juhi had her screamfest. He is probably the only husband who isn't helping his wife out for the cameras. He even manages to keep his dignity when Rakhi picks on him.👏
On the other hand, there are some people who give out distinctly unpleasant vibes . Yet, because of the supposedly "sober" and "sweet" impression they create in front of the cameras, they can get away with their little meannesses, stinginess and evasions: A tantrum in front of 6 crying kids; excuses to take off (or not wear at all) the empathy belly (wonder how they wil manage when they are pregnant for real!); miserliness in shopping for their kids; messing up the house...somehow they get painted in a gentler light because Rakhi is such a screaming contrast in APPEARANCES.
But then, she is Rakhi Sawant, right? Not your favourite soap star. So everything she does wrong is highlighted, and the good she does is overshadowed by the drama queen persona.
I am not a Rakhi fan, nor am I ever likely to be, but if I had a dire emergency and had to leave my kid with one of these couples, I would trust Rakhi-Elesh....or Gurmeet-Debina. Certainly no one else.
