I wish Rakhi wasn't on this show...

Not because she is the quintessential drama queen....not because she picks fights with Elesh every second day...not because she went hip-hop in front of Ganeshji...not because people love to hate her...

But because she makes everyone else look good when they AREN'T.

If you look at it objectively, Rakhi-Elesh are probably the best parents on this show. Who handled a pyjama party with 5 rowdy kids without throwing a tantrum? Rakhi. Who did not take off her empathy belly even for a second? Rakhi. Who is the best cook and housekeeper? Rakhi. Who was the only parent who bothered to teach her child about not wasting food and littering the garden? Rakhi. The one who spent the maximum time trying to build a rapport with her crying infant? Rakhi.

Elesh has surprised me too. I did not expect a publicity-hungry NRI (that's what I would think of anyone who would want to marry someone on a TV show) to handle kids with simple good sense and patience. He was the only one who had the sense to take back his kid when Juhi had her screamfest. He is probably the only husband who isn't helping his wife out for the cameras. He even manages to keep his dignity when Rakhi picks on him.👏

On the other hand, there are some people who give out distinctly unpleasant vibes . Yet, because of the supposedly "sober" and "sweet" impression they create in front of the cameras, they can get away with their little meannesses, stinginess and evasions: A tantrum in front of 6 crying kids; excuses to take off (or not wear at all) the empathy belly (wonder how they wil manage when they are pregnant for real!); miserliness in shopping for their kids; messing up the house...somehow they get painted in a gentler light because Rakhi is such a screaming contrast in APPEARANCES.

But then, she is Rakhi Sawant, right? Not your favourite soap star. So everything she does wrong is highlighted, and the good she does is overshadowed by the drama queen persona.

I am not a Rakhi fan, nor am I ever likely to be, but if I had a dire emergency and had to leave my kid with one of these couples, I would trust Rakhi-Elesh....or Gurmeet-Debina. Certainly no one else.

Awesome thinking...It is a great break to see people like you, who can write or think objectively for a change, otherwise ppl are die hard fans of the 'onscreen" personality to such a great extent that they forget the real person they are seeing on the show and choose to praise or idolize the onscreen image.....Good article....Agree with all your points.... However, I would pick any couple except Juhi-Sachin, if I had to leave my kids, in case of any emergency....No offenses intended....FYI...I love Juhi in Kumkum.....and Sumit-Kumkum chemistry is like mindblowingly amazing......😊

I have to say .....RAKHI has done a DAMN good job on the show so far...and it was quite unexpected.
The way she went about giving interviews saying she doesnt like kids, she is scared kids I guess people involuntarily expected the worst.

She has been one of the best.Anyways this show is about parenting skills...not about her compatibility with elesh.😆

The only couple of concern to me would be juhi-sachin.They have tried making amends but the whole blow off on that episode kind of totally put me off.

But i have to give credit to shilpa and mouni as well. They done well too.

Hooray to you Blyton.....
As much as I would love to disagree with your Rakhi Puran...😛,
I must say it all makes sense.
Rakhi annoys me for having made a mazak of her becharapaan & her hoping to keep riding on it forever...that said, THIS is certainly not a show about Rakhi the person-GF or whatever.
It's about her proving to be a good caretaker for kids. & YES she has proved to be far better in connecting with the toddlers-kids & all then the so-called other celebrating their non-status celebrity!
I do have soft corner for Debina-Gurmeet jodi...there is something cute about the way they are going about playing the wannabe parent ka chola!

Oh boy......

what was wrong with shilpa today?:She seemed quite frankly...angry with the kid and wasnt connecting at all.

Not good at all....to think she was doing quite a good job till now.

I felt apu was trying atleast....but somehow shilps being the extrovert should have made more of an effort to connect.

Something was amiss today.disappointed!

ditto blyti... agree with you full on.. i am no fan or even admirer of rakhi.. but yes she has been a surprise so far... as for her being drama queen and all.. for all the care and affection she has shown for the kids is more than that dramabaazi... we can or shud give her credit for caring for the children..
