Hey guys .. just thought I'd share my 2 cents on PriDa ..
This is PriDa - post-engagement & post-one month leap 😳
Ofcourse .. like most of you .. I too would have loved to see all the lovey-dovey scenes between PriDa .. like any other normal couple after they are realise they belong together .. and even engaged. But then .. are PriDa, the usual, run-of-the-mill couple? Nope .. they are different! 😳
But thats not the point of my post .. lol! My point is - PriDa's relationship has just gone to the NEXT LEVEL!
Like Sarah mentioned in one of her replies in her post yesterday .. to which I completely 100% agree (Sarah .. great point! 👍🏼) - PriDa's is more an 'arranged marriage' than a 'love marriage'. The attraction was always there .. but they have literally been pushed to this stage .. its not like they are getting married coz they looooooove each other! Keeping that in mind .. however they are right now .. IMO, is the right way to go!
Earlier .. they were awkward .. now they are comfortable-awkward (?) .. like today's dress selection scene. While many of you thought he was overtly expressive .. very unlike him .. I didn't think he was over expressive. I loved the fact that he was expressive .. coz, at this stage of their relationship, I think this much was needed and apt! It was the next level from their awkwardness. And soon it will come to the stage where they will be totally comfortable! Their relationship is going step-by-step .. from one level to the other .. Basically, they're taking their time!
Like I'd mentioned in one of my previous posts - PriDa have gone through a lot to get to where they are right now - from hating the sight of one another .. bruised egos .. undeniable attraction .. ego clashes .. employer-employee relationship .. to, engaged-to-be-married! Thats a long journey .. and if I may add, a beautiful and zara hatke journey! 😳
I think the creatives are going pretty well .. ie, giving PriDa the time and space. Just compare their earlier scenes .. to the ones from yest and today. Its been a month ... and their relationship has progressed .. how ..
Yesterday - they couldn't stand the sight of one another
Today - they can't lose the sight of one another
Yesterday - they would give hidden glances to one another
Today - those glances have a name
Yesterday - they couldn't look at the other in the eye and speak
Today - they look straight in the eye and speak
Yesterday - there were signs of disapproval
Today - they're giving signs of approval 😆
Ofcourse .. there are lots more .. this was just a gist of it 😳 Please feel free to add more ..
While its cute to see some lovey dovey moments between your favourite couple .. I still feel PriDa have not come to that stage! They have not come to that stage where Prithvi will mouth dialogues like "main tumhare begair jee nahin sakta" .. "main tumhare liye.. (yeh kar sakta hoon woh kar sakta hoon)" and all sorts of cheesy lines! Thank God for that! Also .. in a way, am glad their relationship is not very 'touchy' .. as in, not physical yet! I mean .. just coz they're getting married, its not like Damini or Prithvi are finding every excuse to be with one another .. or hugging n all that. Like Avni .. these days .. leaves no chance to hug Sameer! 😆 But then .. she was & is .. sooo in love with him .. before & after marriage! Unlike PriDa 😳 Had PriDa been all lovey dovey and touchy .. it would seem like they have moved faster than they should have, considering there really hasn't been any sorta realisation or even what you call, 'pyar ka ikraar' 😳 We believe they 'love' each other .. they believe they 'like' each other. Noticed how even Rosh used the term 'like' not 'love' .. Even Ila uses the word, 'pasand' not 'pyar' 😳
Had they been totally and completely in love with one another .. all the PriDa scenes from yesterday & today would/could have been slightly different! Like .. for example .. instead of dancing so formally, both Damini's arms would/could be around Prithvi's neck 😍 And maybe, instead of the DDLJ scene .. we would/could have Prithvi come to Damini's room .. after that designer (??) and everyone had left Damini alone .. Prithvi sneaks up to her and in his own romantic way tells her which outfit would look absolutely gorgeous on her 😍 .. and so much more! See see .. I have all those cute kinda scenes playing in my head .. but I also feel, its not the time yet 😳
PriDa do love one another .. but they yet don't realise it as such. For them to realise what they actually mean to one another .. I think, something drastic has to happen! Earlier .. I was thinking, maybe something should happen to Damini .. to shake Prithvi completely. But on second thoughts, by the time Damini will realise the whole truth about revenge and all, he for sure will be sooo in love with her .. his guilt & seperation from Damini will shake him up completely! He will then realise what she is to him .. when he won't be able to stay apart. As for Damini .. maybe, her realisation will come in a completely different way! I can't think of anything for Damini's part of the realisation .. but if you guys have anything, please feel free to add. I will post when I think of something ..
About the precap .. loved how Damini tells Prithvi "tumne yeh baat mujhse chhupayi?" She looked more hurt than angry. And honestly, I feel this turning point .. of Damini seeing their mom .. might just propel PriDa to the next level in their relationship. Personally, I would looove to see .. Damini seeing Prithvi's vulnerable side now! I want her to see that side of him, suffering with regards to his mother's condition .. I would love to see for Prithvi to sorta breakdown .. and Damini there to comfort him .. tell him all will be okay .. "main hoon na" scenes!
There is soooooooo much of PriDa to explore! Rather than rushing up things .. they need to take it one step at a time .. from one level to another. That .. IMO .. will retain the beauty & magic of PriDa!
OMG .. this got super duper long .. Sorry guys Did I say 2 cents at the beginning of my post? 😕 Make this 200 cents! 😕 😆 But please .. would love to read your take on this topic 😊
