1)Biggest star (male and female) - in terms of being a brand, having star power, media following etc

and

2)Biggest actor/actress - in terms of actually having talent and being part of good films

Also - which is more important being a big star of being a good actor/actress?

IMO and according to your bases...

Shahrukh Khan is the Biggest Male Star.

He has some of the biggest brands running after him and he endorses like every second product.He's the first choice for all the brands.

Star power.Do I even need to talk about that? The name Shahrukh Khan in itself screams BLOCKBUSTER.People criticised Rab Ne Bana Do Jodi like anything but yet it went on to become a huge blockbuster.A production company who has been facing failure for some time with the topmost of stars.Then Shahrukh Khan steps in.Even with the minimal of promotion and not a popular actress,the film gets the biggest opening.

Now that's called STAR POWER.

Media following? The media can't access or else they'll be present in his bathrooms as well.The media loves Shahrukh and he indeed is very media friendly.

So he fits the bill everywhere.

As for Biggest Actress who has pure talent is definately Rani Mukerji.The lady is bundle of talent and she has proven it time and again.She's been part of some great movies like Kuch kuch hota hai,Ghulam,Saathiya,Hum Tum,Yuva,Veer Zaara,Black,Bunty Aur Babli,Hey Ram,etc.

Even if her films are panned by the critics,she always remains the best thing for them about those films.She has been ALWAYS appreciated for her performance in even those films which critics hated-It just shows that how talented she is.

IMO being a good actor/actress is more important than being a star.

I feel that if you are talented enough and you go for the right choice of films which actually showcase your talent,you yourself can gain the status of a star.People may disagree but atleast that's what I feel like.

Even if you are not a star,people still recognise you for your talent.If they don't love you,they don't even hate you and appreciate your talent.

Ans:- Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwariya Rai...dislike the latter...former is cool!

2)Biggest actor/actress - in terms of actually having talent and being part of good films

Ans:- Priyanka Chopra is the most talented actress this industry has, so my vote goes to her (have u seen fashion, kaminey, wyr?)! Shahid is the most talented actor!! How well and smoothly he transitioned from the chocolate boy image to the rugged charlie image!

Also - which is more important being a big star of being a good actor/actress?

Actor/actress anyday....Aish doesnt even deserve an award

Shahrukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai. I don't think i need to give a reason why i have mentioned their names. It is quite obvious that they are the biggest stars

2)Biggest actor/actress - in terms of actually having talent and being part of good films
Priyanka Chopra, She has given has 100% in all the movies she did and it is quite obvious, as she has grown from each movie. She isnt just all style and glamour, she actually has the potential to act and movies such as Aitraaz, Fashion and Kaminey are just enough to prove it

Being a actor/actres is more important

being a better actor is important, but bollywood has made it very clear that talent really doesn't hold alot. Which sucks, because people like Kunal Khemu aren't getting their due in the industry, and other untalented people are getting far.
