Bidaai, Yeh Rishta to air seven days a week
STAR Plus's prime-time soaps Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai are going ahead full throttle and will now air on weekends too, in addition to their weekday slots.

A source says, "We will show fresh episodes on the weekends, not repeats .We have started shooting extra hours and will most probably start telecast from this coming weekend."
After their successful chat show, Tere Mere Beach Mein, with Farah Khan ended, Star Plus had planned to come up with a second season. However, Farah was not too keen on shooting a new season so quickly, so the channel was left with the weekend slot to fill.
"These are the channel's two top shows and they are ready to extend their viewership as the shows are getting a good TRP rating of 6-plus," the source adds. "They have also been facing tough competition from Bigg Boss 3, which airs at the same time daily, so it is a kind of experiment." Angad Hasija who plays Alekh confirms this news and says, " Yes we will air fresh episodes on the weekends as well and it will be now seven days a week."
Hina Khan, who is Akshara in Yeh Rishta... says, "I don't know how they are going to manage it; we will definitely have to work a few more hours starting this week. I don't know how long it will be like this. Till now, I have only shot for the promos." Karan Mehra, who plays Naitik in the same show, was, however, unaware of the plan. "I have no clue about it. We are shooting according to the regular schedules right now. If it really is going to air seven days a week, that's great. We always work hard and have a good team here, so they will manage everything."
Bidaai airs at 9pm and Yeh Rishta... airs at 9.30pm, and both shows will see some interesting highpoints in the days to come.
