DDLJ completed 14 yrs, going in 15...

hello shello firends,
yesterday i saw a interview of yash chopra and he said that DDLJ has been running for 14 years in a mumbai thatre....kudos to DDLJ..... and since MJHT copies everything from DDLJ... do u think it will have the same longevity?? how long do u think will MJHT run?? does MJHT has in it the making of a cult romantic serial.... that kinda serial where ppl will swear by it and refer to mayur, sajan as a never dying eternal romantic jodi....

do share ur ideas and comment.......

Ok, In my opinion, MJHT can still run for 1.5 years more.....yeah, off course it can run even longer if the CVs decide to take a plunge and show the couples married and so on.😆...but i don't think many ppl will like it becoming an Adult show from a Teen show...😉.........
About it becoming a 'cult romantic show'..ah...sorry to say, but IMHO "NO"...😳......I don't think MJHT has that calibre!...............Neither does it has any never-seen-before kind of story, nor are the scenes/sequences shown in the show point thus!.......Frankly telling, from whatever shows i have watched in my small period of T V watching years, i can think of just one show which has that calibre!....And that's Dill Mill Gayee................Ok, u can argue over that, but IMHO it's only DMG which has this calibre and has indeed become a "cult romantic show".😳....I can't say whether the new crop of actors in it can redefine the same magic, but Arman & Ridhima- these 2 characters have indeed become a vivid example of "Love and Eternity"...........😳
So ya, as for MJHT my answer is a flat "No".........😊

LOL. Well I myself dont get the DDLJ hype...15 years....gimme a break!

But anywayz never! I'll be surprised if it even manages to stay on air for 2 more years...and thats good enough! no serial should run for more than 2-3 years...its truly a drag after then!

Abt DDLJ...

IT was a long time ago and I was in school and pretty young,

I remember getting these awesome promos of SRK and Kajol...
(in those days promos on TV were rare ..)
So, everybody I knew was excited abt the release..then it released on 20 OCT 1995..

It was only the second hindi movie that I saw on the big screen and It was a BIG DEAL for me :)

I fell in love with the movie instantly..hopelessly and irrevocably.. (along with the rest of the country)

Unique concept and story line, fab dialogues and music and scenes and some awesome acting and chemistry.

Many of u,,who've seen it later ... U may wonder whats special abt this movie...
It was really special..we knew it the first time we watched it ..this is our generation's sholay!
Later on ..so many movie copied from it that u may have lost the feeling.
(NOW serials too)

This is y it irritates me so much when scenes are so blatantly copied from DDLJ..
MY fav movie...all the dreams of my childhood and teenage years are being mutilated to suit the need of their profession.

Abt MJHT ..as much as I love it and watch it and criticise it..I wudnt put it in the same league as DDLJ..

ok i just saw line will mjht have the same longetivity....so umm....lets not go into tat.....cause i can imagine winld things (shud i name them?? lolz)
