"Where are you flying to, Miss Maan?" the pretty blond asked her.
"Umm Ala....New York City. JFK." She decided last minute she loved the cupcakes at Magnolia too much to leave New York. She can always look for another job if she gets fired. It shouldn't be hard since she only had 6 jobs in 3 years. Even she was surprised she lasted a whole year at Juneja Empire. The job before that, she only lasted 3 weeks.
She walked to the waiting area even more tensed than before. More than facing her boss, she was more scared with upcoming flight. She hated flying and she was too preoccupied in the morning thinking about the meeting but now she had nothing to think about, except how her boss will murder her. Does she want to die in a plane crash or in the hands of her boss?
She found a seat in the waiting area of the American Airlines and imagined her upcoming death. "Miss Heer Maan, can you please come to the front desk." came a woman's voice from the intercom. What now? She slowly got up and went to the front desk. "Hi, I am Heer Maan."
The lady smiled at her and gave her an apologetic look. "I am really sorry but there seems to be a mistake. Someone over booked the seats so I am afraid you don't really have a seat." Maybe that is a sign from up above, a sign that she must go to Alabama! Yes, Alabama it is. "If you don't mind," the girl continued, "we can just upgrade you to business class if there are any seats available free of charge." Upgrade? She never got upgraded in her life for anything! Of course she doesn't bloody mind. For a second she even forgot her flight fright as she imagined herself in the business class section of the plane. "Of course not. That would be lovely." she answered calmly. "Great let me just check to see if there are any seats available than you can get ready to board." As luck had it, there was in fact a seat available, 7A. What Heer didn't know though was that she was going to remember the seat number and the ride back home for the rest of her life as this ride was going to change her life forever.
