'I wish I had a Porsche for my birthday!'

Do you remember your first birthday?
I remember that when I was a child I would skip school on my birthdays and have a holiday. My friends would come over and we play cricket the whole day and other games like volleyball. I really miss those days…

How do you celebrate your birthdays?
It's been a lovely year and I will spend it like always with a havan at home in the morning.

The only difference is I will have to get up early for it and I hate getting up early. I am thrilled that Sunny bhaiya will be there too. He was supposed to go for an outdoor shoot but that got cancelled. In the evening, I will meet up with my buddies at home.

I will also cut a cake. This has been an entire cake week — January 24 was my wife Tanya's birthday and now my birthday is tomorrow. But what will make it really special is that this will be the first year I am going to be celebrating with my two sons, Aryaman and Dharam along with my family.

What's the best gift you can wish for?
I love giving and getting gifts. It makes me feel very happy to give gifts to people. I have everything that I can ever ask for and more… my dad and Sunny bhaiya has always ensured that I get everything and I have done so without ever asking for it. Now I tell my friends jokingly that I would love to have a sports car, a Porsche, for my birthday. Though I have a Mercedes, I have a passion for cars. I guess it's a guy thing.

Who are your closest friends that you are going to party with on your birthday?
I have many close friends — there's Pranav, Baba, Tapush and Ashish Singh. I know Tapush since I was 10 years old, ever since his dad was a producer of one of my dad's films. I know Ashish since our eighth standard in school and Pranav since college.

Though the gang will come over at my home and meet up tomorrow, we will not be partying or having a men's night out but just spend it at home. My friends mean the world to me — they are genuine and care about me. They are people I can trust completely with my life …

What's Tanya given you?
That's something personal, but I will tell you this. Tanya's always been giving me something or the other. In fact we keep giving each other everything. She's been there by my side, for and with me for 10 years. Tanya is everything that I ever wanted in the woman I loved. She's special.

Is it true Sunny gets really mad when you use his shirts?
I used to whack his shirts in college years back. Now I have stopped doing that. He wouldn't get mad. Just try to lock his cupboards up in such a way, I couldn't get through, but somehow, I would always find a way.

What passion do you and Sunny share in common?
We both love clothes and sunglasses. I possess above 200, while bhaiya has more than that.

One thing you wish to change about yourself this year.
I want to get healthier. Have a healthier lifestyle, get up on time and look after myself better.

You are known as the baby of the family. How do you feel about that?
Well I love it — sometimes you can use to your advantage and sometimes it can go against you. But I have stopped being the baby now. Now I am the father of two sons and they get the most pampering.
