Hi All,
First and foremost this is about Siddheshwari and not Sukirti, who is a fantastic actress👏. Sukirti has managed to portray Siddheshwari so well 👏👏 without making it look like a caricature or a vamp. That Sukirti is very beautiful just makes it even better.😳
So now about the reel character Siddheshwari.
In the initial days I used to not understand Siddheshwari and gave her the benefit of doubt, that bechari, she is so seedhi saadhi. But now, after so many months I am beginning to wonder in what way can one call Siddheshwari innocent?? 😕😕
Simply put, being innocent is being naive, free of any malign, pure hearted and even childlike.
Wikipedia defines innocent to mean "Innocence is a term used to indicate a general lack of guilt, with respect to any kind of crime, sin, or wrongdoing"
Now, what of the above does Siddheshwari portray????😕😕
1. Is she naive?
NO. She very well at the first instance itself understood that Shekhar has to produce a heir...which means he has to sleep with someone enough times to successfuly create a baby. So how does that make her naive??
She very well understood that agreeing to Loha's demands will hurt Sekhar irreparably.Note the lines she says to Shekhar that "Aapko thodi takleef hogi, par kar dijiye"😲
If this was another serial and a lesser competent actress was playing this reel character, the above lines would seem to be the lines of a vamp.
Is "kar dijiye" that simple😲, unless one believes in only the enjoyment or use of sex.
So how is Siddheshwari naive😕
2. Is she free of any malign
NO. Look at the way she will treat Laali, even in the earlier days, calling her a "rakhel" which in English means a mistress. So Siddheshwari is supposedly innocent but clearly understands the world of mistresses and whores. Wow. 😆
Or when the fun she makes of Laali as a person. Is that what innocent people do??
Or for that matter the fun she makes of Loha himself by calling him names.
Or the way she dressed up and called her father to scream at Loha, knowing fully well that she was being manipulative. And then she shed crocodile tears to show how sad she is.😲 Well is she sad?? Unless we are talking of the jhumkis and ghargras being denied to her.
So is she free of any malign. 😕😕
3. Is she pure hearted?
NO. This is the best one. Unless she believes in the term 'pure hearted' to mean 'gold hearted' hahahaha. When has she demonstrated that she has a pure heart??
She appears to be here because she wants comforts. Period. She cares two hoots of whether Sekhar is destroyed as a person. She cares two hoots for even her father, as she did not mind giving her father so much pain, of knowing that his daughter is ill treated, all this only to serve her own purpose of using a room!!!!😆😆
4. Is she child-like?
Which child do we know who puts an elaichi in his/ her mouth wanting to feed someone (and then we know what can happen😆)? Or which child says continously, aap kaam karo us ladki ke saath - which means have sex- so that we get an heir and move on.
I hope my child never does any of the above😆
5. Lastly, is Siddheshwari per the definition "Innocence is a term used to indicate a general lack of guilt, with respect to any kind of crime, sin, or wrongdoing"?
An emphatic NO.
Be it her full support towards her in-laws in crimes against women;
Be it her full support in ganging up with Gangiya and putting on an act;
Be it her full support in abandoning Shekhar and his feelings as per her own convenience;
.....or the most important of all;
Be it her full support in treating another human being in the most in-human way possible, making her husband use the wretched woman, Laali's body and then throw her; in making Shekhar sleep with Laali, but treating Laali as an insect or low-caste otherwise.
If Siddheshwari is to be called innocent.........then its perhaps time we change the above definitions.
