What the hell was with her yesterday?

Okay, I understand that if Jyoti was home, this MIGHT have been prevented. But Jyoti is a girl, easy to overpower by 3 guys. They could have just knocked her out too

And just because Choti Maa gave her the responsibility to take care of the house, it doesn't mean Jyoti has to literally stay in it all the time

She could have been out grocery shopping or diwali shopping, or meeting people to wish them for diwali (stuff like this is necessary to do and she would be the one who would have to do it)

My point is that there would be some time in the day that she would have to leave the house. The guys could have planned the heist then, while she was out doing her responsibility as bahu.

Even Choti Maa doesn't stay home all day. She's out at charity functions and work and such.

What was the need to call KK and rant to him? Why didn't Mahendranath and Gayatri stop Choti Maa?

Yesterday's episode was so totally ridiculous

exactly.... its like CM was waiting for a chance to jump at Jyoti and she's glad she got one, and pounced right at her. Its really wierd that no one ever comes forward to stop her from over-reacting like this. All of them just stand and let her rant, as if scared to say anything against her. And the call to KK was totally mean and unneccessary.... anyone cud have just grabbed the phone from her and stopped her right then. Once Pankaj's mom had some explanation to Jyoti as to why CM is the way she is.. but even then it didn't make sense. Nothing what she said actually justified her behavior. Altho everyone are uncomfortable with CM's behavior, no one ever says a thing... i really can't get why. Someone really needs to stand up against her attitude towards Jyoti. Even Uday, knowing fully well how unfairly his mom treats Jyoti, he just remains silent. I wonder when Sudha gets married to Uday, how she will ever be safe and happy there with a MIL like CM and a silent by-stander hubby like Uday. i won't be surprised if then another personality emerges out of her, esp after going thru CM taunts day and night, since such negative-kind behavior is what made her ill.

I agree, in the beginning i was okay with the way CM was, her actions were justifiable and understandable. But now i think she feels the power struggle, she feels she is loosing her family and im sure she blames jyoti for it. Its so stupid, Jyoti is exactly the way bharvi is, strong, independent and bold, she feels competition and unknowingly or knowingly is trying to make jyoti look bad. Yeah why doesnt anyone stand up for her, i guess CM has made her place and now no one has the courage to fight back for jyoti, she has no choice but to fight for herself and that makes her look bad....its toooo complicated, its tooo much drama!!!

I agree w/ Saydie above - this is now an ego trip and a power trip for Bhairavi. It was never Jyoti's idea to delay informing cm - it was Uday's, and Bhairavi didn't even bother to let him explain that. Also, how come Bhairavi didn't think of ranting at Pratik, who too lives in that house - granted Jyoti and Uday were out, but where on earth was he?

As for the above question of why Uday doesn't say anything, he does, but since he's been brought up not to disrespect elders, he lets them run roughshod over him - be it a bitch like Padma or something different like Bhairavi. But what does disgust me is that Mahendranath is the head of the family and Bhairavi's older brother in law, and it doesn't even occur to him that in the absense of his late brother, he ought to rein her in??? The fact that Bhairavi is such a loose cannon reflects worse on him than anyone else. And to a lesser extent, on Gayatri.

It would be funny watching a confrontation between Bhairavi and Devika. I'd bet on Devika winning, her bluster notwithstanding. And Bhairavi has not even heard of the part where Sudha was arrested, bailed and then put up in their house because the maakya didn't want to. Of course, when she does, expect all hell to break loose. I'll bet she slaps Sudha and get assaulted back by Devika.

Also, Padma was her usual bitchy self weighing in the way she did, never hesitating to humiliate either Jyoti or Sudha, even in front of outsiders like Mahendranath. And then she complains of Sudha lowering the image of the family.
