Nahh arun I totally disagree with your first bit. If you ask most of the goras down here about India, they will give you descriptions of a 3rd world country. No Indian will ever deny the poverty and the slums of India but the real India is almost always overlooked. By real I mean the way we work as a country to get things done. Indians are proud of who they are, what they do, where they come from. Being born and bred in Britain all my life, I have never even once seen such love for one's country in the way people work together like they do in India.

You know the slums you guys saw in SDM, i myself have been to that place sooooo many times as a kid. My mamas flat was about a 15 minute drive from there and we always had to pass there to get to his house. They live in slums, and believe it or not, they are happy in their own small world. The way they live in a community together is amazing.

After slumdog millionaire, you hear about the slums and the way India is a dumphole, but I bet no-one has ever heard of the beautiful hill stations, Mount Abu, Mahabhaleshwar, Matheran etc. These hill stations have no public transport. People usually frown on this right? People would come there and see that there is no public transport, instead there are 'poor men who are having to give people a ride on a manual rickshaw to survive' or the 'poor horses', but no-one looks behind that to realise that this is done to conserve the nature of India. Therefore no public transport is allowed inside these areas to preserve the beautiful nature. :) So yeah arun I totally agree with ya there.

People view India in such a negative light but seriously, the sense of community that is in India, you will rarely find anywhere else.😳😊

I don't get the point of showing the dead/sick rat, are there no dead/sick rats in any of the other countries in the world?😕

"Rickshaws parked in a no parking zone" Erm sorry but look up the amount of people in britain who have got 3 points on their license or lost their license completely for parking on a double yellow line😆

and the railway station, that is where many many people earn a living. From the little chai walas, to the coolie walas to the paani walas, to the dhabba walas etc lol. Thats their way of earning money, and if thats the way they wish to do it, then no-one else should have an objection.

and neither do i understand the need of sarcasm in the post such as 'local bin', implying that all bins in india are broken or something? slight stereotyping no?

India isn't perfect, but for those who are unaware of this fact, we are no longer a third world country anymore.😉we are developing, and one day, we'll get there (and we'll rule the world muahaha)😆

sorry for the rant but this topic was all negative, thought i'd add a few postives.

This was only to show that India is India, India cannot become like any other country such as u.s or u.k. All of these pictures are for pure fun, because we know that this is the India that we live in. India can never become like any other country because then I don't think we would know what the real India is.

Sometimes, people don't realize that India has everything, such as beauty, religion, culture, poverty, traditions, the unity between two of the most largely populated religions like hindus and muslims. So, this is what makes us the true indians to realize all these things and accept India as it is and not to change it for the worse but only for the better. If someone looks at this topic negatively, than that person has not realized that this is what makes India original and nothing like any other country.
