This cm is downright ugly - competes w/ Padma. There was a latent sweetness to the earlier one, which I don't see here. This one looks like the ideal villainette in a movie or serial.

What she was saying was "You no longer have the right to address me as choti-ma", when Jyoti went to her and greeted her.

The odd thing about this is that she's just returned, and by the look on Mahendranath's face, it's obvious that she's not met either her bhai-sahib or didi, but she heads straight for there and goes to Jyoti. For someone who's so obsessed with propoer protocols due to belonging to the Vashisth kandaan, this is really unseemly. Why not first meet them, discuss with them recent events, and then meet the others, and then confront Jyoti regarding whatever her faults were. I can guess that she's upset at Jyoti not being home at the time of the burglary to prevent Pankaj's confidence from being shattered, but there is a limit. I was hoping that she'd return to put things straight, not cause more heartburn.

The new CM is terrible! The old one portrayed the role so well. There was this tenderness and care in her for the family inspite of her paranoia and bitterness towards Jyoti. But this new one is like the vamps of other shows. Looks like Jyoti's troubles are hitting her like a storm with first Sushma coming as the maid and when she notices the tension b/w CM and Jyoti, she will use that to her advantage.
