In my ideal situation (and of course i'm living in LaLa Land)..
When DM tells Santu that's he getting her married, Santu should
1) Go off and take care of Hiten and make sure he marries Toral. Convince Hiten that what he's doing is the right thing for him and he will never find a life partner like Toral who will understand him and better him.
2) Tell DM that there was no need to do this. He should never have had to betray her and abuse her feelings like this.
3) Tell him she won't marry anyone she doesn't love. She will not marry a random guy he has found. She will go back to her nanaji and take care of him and monghi.
4) Her relations with the family will remain as she loves them all dearly and this won't be changed by divorcing him.
5) Return all the rubbish she's apparently bought 'for her'. Then, GO HOME.
Please note, she will confess that she has feelings for him, maaaaybe love, BUT SHE SHOULD NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES ASK HIMTO TAKE HER BACK.
He has given his decision. He doens't want her. So, she's going somewhere she's wanted.
Controversial point here: If he tells her to stay with him and this was only being done for her benefit and he's 'fond' of her (anything more is a BLATANT lie)... she still needs to walk away.
life is lived based on someones actions, and the end most definitely does not justify the means. this act has significantly traumatised there relationship (i thought him conitnuing to divorce her when there was no need was a collosal SLAP ON HER FACE anyway...) and to repair it, we need DM to sort himself out. She needs to stop confusing adoration/crush/respect for love.
LaLa Land is fun.
