Filmfare doesn't matter, and neither does Zee Cine Awards and all those 56 other award shows that are aired.

Of course they are bound to happen though. From your list, more than half of the actresses do not even need to be up on the poll. From the remaining, I would say that the least deserving will bag it, because that's what has been happening from 50 years or so.

I wish you had 'None of them' as an option too.

From the films released so far I would say Konkona deserves it for Luck By Chance. If not her then Priyanka in Kaminey.

Can't really speak about the films that haven't released though Kareena might have a shot if Kurbaan does well.

I will vote for Konkona even though that is very unlikely.

Thought I should add that Mahie Gill also deserves a nomination for Dev D though I am not sure whether it counts as a lead role or not since Paro and Chanda had sort of equal roles in terms of length.

Usually filmfare picks make no sense to me and I used to think Star Screen was a bit more fair. For instance Kareena getting the award for Omkara over Kajol in Fanaa. But last year I was pleasantly surprised by Oye Lucky getting some awards at Filmfare but it was completely ignored at Star Screen (who decided to nominate 8 people in the best actor award category).

I don't care for most of these awards, and the people who usually deserve to win (according to me) hardly ever get nominated.

Filmfare is based on public voting?

I thought only the nominations for Filmfare were by public voting.

Well,biased or unbiased Filmfare are the most important and prestigious award for bollywood celebs.Its like the Oscars of Hollywood for them😆

I'm not too sure if its public voting but Filmfare really sucks man esp. since it so called 'prestigious' reputation and considered synonymoud to the oscars. 🤢

Its is a 50-50 percent formula. 50 percent of the weight goes to public voting and 50 percent to votes from the jury. This is just for the popular categories (music, acting, film. direction etc.) The technical awards are decided just by the jury.
