Who do you like more because of his acting, legacy, looks, movies, life or any other reasons out of Dilip Kumar and Dev Anand?

Dilip Kumar all the way. Acting is primarily the reason and I would have to say screen presence and dialogue delivery too.

I like Dev anand more cauz of his vibrant image.. and I think he is better looking than Dilip Kumar.hehe.. although Srk has an uncanny resemblance to Dilip Kumar.. but I think Dev definately trumps him in good looks.. And I like stylish actors who have a strong personal image than method actors so Dev definately makes the cut in that option. And I loved his movies like Guide.. which is ma fav movie of all time.. I cant explain it its just his overall charm, his movies and his looks make me like him.. and I loved his pairing with Waheeda rehman.

I guess when someone is trying too hard it is hard for me to like them. Dev Anand, I appreciate the songs he is in, but he also kind of ruined the second half of Guide for me. The first half focused on Waheeda Rahman was what I enjoyed the most.

But I know many, who share your POV too. I think it is all about what appeals to you. I know some people, who really like Rajendra Kumar, because of his good looks. Being conventionally good looking does help for sure in your appeal to an audience. The trademark style he has definitely become Dev Anand's trademark.

a big reason for picking him is: hes sooooooooooo damn cute..omgg lol hes so freakin' adorable. hes all' wrinkley and cute..LOLLLL

LOL.. I dont find Rajender Kumar good looking at all.. I think he has a nick name of Jublee kumar if I am remembering righty.. cauz of all the movies of his that went to golden jublee.. hehe.. Its not about looks only.. But I like charming actors.. Srk is not that conventiionally good looking but I like his charm.. But Dev Anand is a great actor to acompany his "good looks" I loved the second half of guide and specially the climax it was very spiritual and pathbreaking atleast for me.. And I loved his treasure hunt kinda adventerous movies like Jewel thief and others.. Dilip Kumar is a bit boring for ma taste no offence.. I didnt like him that much in Devdas.. But I watched him in one of his comedy movies "Gopi" and I loved him there.

I know he was sooooooooo cute back in his days.. He has to be one of the best looking guyz in bolly.. And his charm..oh god.. he was so charming in his movies..

Dilip Kumar... he was an all rounder and played tragedy and comedy with an equal elan...His devdas is THE Devdas for me...after I read Sarat chandra's book i realised that Dilip Kumar was his devdas...when he mouths the dialogue "kaun kambhakt bardash karne ke liye..." your heart goes out to him...when SRk does it in SLB's devdas it sounds funny..

Dev Anand was charming too but tended to go overboard with his facial expressions sometimes...he was undoubtedly the most handsome hindi actor of his time and he has some of the most memorable songs to his credit...some his movies are my all time favorites...tere ghar ke saamne, kala paani...he was charming on screen and could send a thousand hearts aflutter when he lip synched to "ankhon hi ankhon mein ishara ho gaya"...but when it comes to intensity and passion Yusuf saab ka koi saani nahi hai!

I agree people are crazy about Yusuf sahab's devdas.. take my nanaji for example.. He refused to watch Srk's Devdas.. cauz Dilip kumar's devdas is so precious to him that he could not imagine seeing anyone else in that role.. And he also dislikes Srk.. Tere ghar ke samne was a beautiful movie.. I love Dev shahab's songs.. they are just adorable and evergreen.

Sanam likes SRK, Amitabh, and Dilip saab. Those are her favorites. But I think it was his believability on screen that translated for me. Like Tallyho said, his passion. DK's Devdas is the only one for me. I remember seeing it for the first time and being so absorbed in what was happening and not shifting my focus at all from the screen. Dev Anand's songs are indeed evergreen though, couldn't agree more.

But different strokes for different folks. Hey, Adios, have you heard of Dev Anand's biography? Forgive me for adding gossip, but he confessed in it that he was in love with Zeenat Aman.
