Ekta offered Aditya Pancholi a role

Aditya Pancholi was apparently offered a part in Ekta Kapoor's Bayttaab Dil Kee Tamanna, which went on air on Sony this week.

A source from the show says, "We have been hunting for a negative male character; we approached a few actors before and Aditya was one of them. He has strong features which suited our character, so we offered him the part but he turned it down." Aditya was unavailable for comment, as he is out of town.

The source adds, "This is a very important character with many shades; the guy will be a lawyer. We then offered the role to Shiv Subramaniam, who has agreed to be a part of the show." Shiv has written a few films and will be seen in Teen Patti also.

The show is said to draw from Shiney Ahuja's rape case, though Balaji Telefilms has denied this. It will feature a lawyer, who is a rich man, who marries one of the three sisters that the serial revolves around; she is forced to get married and is sexually abused by the lawyer and lodges a complaint against him.

Bayttaab Dil Kee Tamanna tells the story of three sisters who leave their small town to come to Mumbai to make it big against all odds.
