I have to admit I relate to Varsha quite a bit myself. I'm not rude to my parents that way but we do argue about similar things every now and then. Like ballball said, it's the generation gap and strong difference of opinions that causes this.

I do live in the States though so it is slightly different - for example my parents don't worry about my clothing choices...I could wear a dress like Varsha wore to her boss's party and they would not mind at all. But social events cause them stress. I'm old enough to recognize that it's because they worry about me (irrationally, sometimes) and love me very much, and this is just their way of showing it. I'm sure I'll probably end up being similar with my own kids 😆

very true.... most of the ppl in todays are like varsha.. every one is career oriented..and varsha's character is very well shown in PR .. ekta has done a very good job there..

i get angry sometimes watching varshas behaviour with her mom.. but then .. when i hink from her POV i dont find a problem.. she wants to achive something in life..the way she is adopting is wrong..but thn i todays world what she is doing is nt a very big crime!!.. she just lied to her mom to go out fr movies and out woth friends...i know many ppl who lies at home to go out.. its nt possible fr everyone to have parents who listen to their view points too..

Archana type characters are very rare today.. do you guys think that somebody will just do all the 'ghar' ka kaam and sit and cry when she is being cursed and scolded by others..? and manav too..he too is so goody good..!! but then they are leads of the show..so they are potrayed that way..

but i must say that i used to love the way varsha fights with that vahini if theirs..she was the only one who could shut that lady..!

and i like vaishali and vandu also..they two are also quite good..!!

I really don't like Varsha. I think her character portrays a negative picture of the modern woman. You don't have to be rude or cruel to be independent. Varsha has gone about the wrong way to get what she wants. She is self-centred and has no feelings for any other person. She is very obviously jealous of ARchu or the attention Archu gets from her mother. Because of this, she is willing to hurt her mother.
Although Varshu claims to be independent - she is actually NOT. She totally relies on her friends - she never goes against what they suggest but will go against what her mother says. If she is truly a person who speaks her mind and is not afraid to voice her opinion - then it should apply to all people. She goes along with peer pressure because she is weak and needs the approval of her peers.
No to me Varshu is not strong at all - she is weak and will follow whatever her friends tell her.
so there - that's my opinon on this so called modern girl.

she sits and sketches characters that makes me laugh, so she hardly does any thinking, because all her leads ever do is cry, take all the thrash from everyone, but remain a saint, even when mother-in-law is from hell & every one insults, the bechari comes with line this is our duty
so i don't know what she sketches, but she sketched only one lead approx 8 years back & is still using the same sketch
