She is Punjabi...very few people can fake a Punjabi accent properly...Mona's accent looks natural to me.

thanks for the info lena!!!!! Yeah, I agree with you Mystica. She is DEFINITELY Punjabi. It is true like noname said that Singh is not necessarily Punjabi, but Mona definitely is Punjabi b/c you can tell by her accent.

Jassi is a punjabi,a real life MBA graduate.She grew up in Pune.I uncovered some facts about her.

A Puneite, Mona is basically a model who has worked in advertising commercials like Bajaj Spirit, Clinic Shampoo and Breeze. She has also been a ramp model and has worked with the top designers like Rohit Bal and J J Valaya. Not only this, she participated in the Miss India contest as well. Isn't it startling! Imagine Mona, sorry Jassi, walking on the ramp or participating in a beauty contest.

There isn't much information about her family. The only fact, which has been dug out so far, is that she comes from an Army background. Her parents are settled in New Zealand right now and are enjoying the status of celebrity parents. Thanks to their talented daughter, Mona.
