It's the classic story of a small-town girl trying to make a future in the big, bad city, and is rumoured to be inspired by the Shiney Ahuja rape case.
Three sisters – Kanchan, Shamoli and Kakon – are forced to leave their home in the small town of Siliguri to come to Mumbai. Kanchan tries to adjust to the situations that she is confronted without compromising her well-instilled values whereas Shamoli is determined to fulfil her dreams in any way possible. Starring newcomers Priyamvada as Kanchan, Sumana Das as Shamoli and Pragati Chourasia as Kakon, the show also features familiar faces Shiv Subramanian and Urvashi Dholakia.
Starting October 6, Bayttaab Dil Kee Tamanna Hai will air Monday-Thursday at 10pm only on Sony Entertainment Television.
